WOLF SPORTS PROJECTION

Brian Hill | Free Agent RB

The Titans placed Brian Hill on injured reserve.

Hill was injured late in last night's preseason game, and now his season is over unless he's released from the team's injured reserve at some point. The former Falcon is now off the redraft radar.

The Titans signed Brian Hill.

The 2017 fifth-round pick had his best season last year, rushing 100 times for 465 yards (4.7 yards per carry) and one touchdown while also adding 25 receptions for 199 yards. Hill runs hard and will be a good fit as a backup option behind Derrick Henry in Tennessee.

Brian Hill doesn't get much going in Week 11.

Hill carried 15 times for 30 yards and caught one pass for eight yards in Atlanta's rout of Carolina. The Panthers entered the game giving up the most yards per carry in the league, but they figured some things out there and did not give Hill much room to run throughout the day. Making matters worse for fantasy owners that inserted Hill into fantasy lineups, Qadree Ollison scored a touchdown by the goal line. The good news is Hill clearly led the Falcons backfield, but he now gets a difficult matchup against the Buccaneers next week. Assuming Devonta Freeman (foot) remains out, Hill would still be in the FLEX mix at least given his volume.

Brian Hill records 21 touches in Week 10.

Hill carried 20 times for 61 yards and caught one pass for ten yards in the Falcons' upset victory at New Orleans. Hill was getting work in the game before the injury, but Devonta Freeman's foot issue forced him into a feature role on offense, and the third-year running back played well considering he was up against a tough Saints defense. If Freeman's injury is a long-term thing, Hill should be a solid fantasy option down the stretch for an offense that clearly wants to run the ball in the second half of the season. Unless good news on Freeman emerges in the next couple of days, Hill is arguably the top waiver wire pickup for next week.

Brian Hill gets nine touches in Week 17.

Hill carried eight times for 30 yards and caught one pass for nine yards against the Buccaneers. After his strong Week 16 performance (eight carries, 115 yards), Hill's season ends with 20 carries for 157 yards and one reception for nine yards. It's up in the air whether Hill will return to the Falcons next season, but we'd think the team is interested in bringing him back.

Brian Hill goes over 100 yards in Falcons' win.

Hill carried eight times for 115 yards, including a run of 60 yards, against the Panthers. He also lost a fumble in the Week 16 victory. While the 60-yard run accounted for half of Hill's yardage in the game, he still ran the ball well throughout the contest. With Tevin Coleman (groin) uncertain for Week 17, Hill should be one of the top waiver-wire adds heading into Week 17. He'll be at least a FLEX option if he's the starter against Tampa Bay to conclude the season.

Brian Hill rushed three times for seven yards in Sunday's win over Arizona.

Hill saw action in a blowout as Ito Smith (knee) left in the fourth quarter. Hopefully Smith can get cleared for Week 16, but if not, Hill is worth monitoring as Atlanta lightens Tevin Coleman's workload to close out the year.

Brian Hill gets one carry in Week 14.

Hill gained five yards on his lone attempt against the Packers. This was the second-year running back's first carry of the season, so he's obviously difficult to trust in fantasy lineups for now.

Brian Hill handles five touches in Week 16 win.

Hill rushed four times for 17 yards and caught a 34-yard pass. The rookie out of Wyoming was forced into action after Joe Mixon (ankle) went down for the game, but Giovani Bernard handled most of the work with 30 touches. Hill won't be a fantasy option in Week 17.

Brian Hill | Free Agent RB

Brian Hill handles five carries in loss to Minnesota.

The undrafted rookie out of Wyoming rushed five times for 12 yards behind Giovani Bernard in the blowout loss. He isn't a fantasy option over the final two weeks of the season.

The Falcons select Wyoming running back Brian Hill with the 156th pick in the 2017 NFL Draft.

Hill is a bruiser with great size and 4.54 speed. He had back-to-back 1,500-yard seasons in his sophomore and junior seasons. In his final season as a junior, Hill rushed for 1,860 yards and 22 touchdowns. Hill will join a stacked running back group with Devonta Freeman and Tevin Coleman, so it's unlikely he puts up significant numbers as a rookie.
