WOLF SPORTS PROJECTION

Caleb Wilson | Free Agent TE

The Eagles have waived Caleb Wilson.

Wilson was looking to make the team as depth at tight end, but the former UCLA standout will now seek another opportunity.

Caleb Wilson | Free Agent TE

The Redskins signed Caleb Wilson.

Wilson was on Arizona's practice squad, but Washington is adding him to their active roster. The former UCLA tight end was the final pick in this year's draft, but for what it's worth, we thought he could have gone much higher than he did. It's highly unlikely Wilson makes a fantasy impact over the final three games of this season, but he's someone to keep an eye on in dynasty leagues.

The Cardinals have selected UCLA tight end Caleb Wilson in the seventh round of the 2019 NFL Draft.

The last pick of the draft and "Mr. Irrelevant" is a tight end that left college after his junior season after playing very well in 2018. With former NFL head coach Chip Kelly arriving to UCLA last year, Wilson’s production took a sizable leap while playing in one of the best offenses around. He had 60 receptions for 965 yards and four touchdowns as one of the best players for the Bruins in 2018, stretching the field and coming up with tough catches throughout the year. He has the potential to become the top tight end for the Cardinals, but his fantasy value is probably limited to dynasty leagues for now. Despite the "Mr. Irrelevant" name, the depth chart in Arizona potentially gives Wilson an opportunity to have a big role in the NFL.
