WOLF SPORTS PROJECTION

Jacob Hollister | Raiders TE

Jacob Hollister is signing with the Raiders.

Hollister started his NFL career with the Patriots, where Josh McDaniels was the offensive coordinator, and now McDaniels is bringing him over to Vegas. Hollis yet will provide depth at tight end behind Darren Waller, and he’ll also likely contribute on special teams.

Jacob Hollister | Raiders TE

The Jaguars are signing Jacob Hollister, according to NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero.

Hollister had several offers after being released by the Bills, and Jacksonville would seem to provide the best chance for fantasy value. The veteran will compete with James O’Shaughnessy for snaps.

Jacob Hollister | Raiders TE

The Bills are releasing Jacob Hollister, according to NFL Network's Tom Pelissero.

As noted by Pelissero, this news is a surprise, as the former college teammate of Josh Allen was thought to even have a shot at the No. 1 job if Dawson Knox slipped up. Instead, Buffalo is going in another direction, and this news puts Knox on more solid ground.

Jacob Hollister | Raiders TE

The Bills are signing Jacob Hollister.

Buffalo wanted to address tight end this offseason, and they're adding Josh Allen's former college teammate to boost the position. Hollister will probably be more of a real-life factor than a fantasy asset, but he's someone to keep an eye on.

Jacob Hollister | Raiders TE

The Seahawks gave Jacob Hollister a second-round tender, according to NFL Network's Tom Pelissero.

It would be a surprise if a team signs Hollister given this second-round tender, so you can expect him to be back in the mix for Seattle in a crowded tight end group that has Will Dissly and added Greg Olsen earlier this offseason. Expect a ton of multiple-tight-end sets for the Seahawks in 2020.

Jacob Hollister | Raiders TE

The Seahawks signed Jacob Hollister to the practice squad.

Hollister was cut yesterday, but he's back in Seattle's building as he looks to work his way into a gameday role at some point.

Jacob Hollister | Raiders TE

The Seahawks have released Jacob Hollister.

Hollister was acquired in a trade with New England earlier this year, but Seattle is moving on. Will Dissly is locked in as the team's top tight end and is probably being overlooked in fantasy drafts.

Jacob Hollister | Raiders TE

The Patriots are trading Jacob Hollister to the Seahawks, according to ESPN's Field Yates.

Hollister barely played when he was active and was limited to eight games because of hamstring and chest injuries last season. He worked his way as an undrafted rookie in 2017 to make the Patriots roster for two consecutive seasons, and now he'll look to compete for a roster spot in Seattle. Hollister is not on the fantasy radar right now.

Jacob Hollister | Raiders TE

Jacob Hollister catches 17-yard pass in loss to the Titans.

It was his only catch of the game and his first since Week 2. Hollister isn't a recommended fantasy option with Rob Gronkowski hopefully back and healthy when New England returns from their Week 11 bye.

Jacob Hollister | Raiders TE

Jacob Hollister (hamstring) is officially active for the Patriots.

After missing the last seven games, Hollister is back in the lineup for New England. Even with Rob Gronkowski (ankle/back) out, Hollister isn't a recommended fantasy option for Week 10.

Jacob Hollister | Raiders TE

Jacob Hollister (hamstring) is inactive for the Patriots.

This is Hollister's seventh consecutive missed game. Rob Gronkowski (ankle/back) is also out for New England, so Dwayne Allen is the team's top tight end against the Packers. Hollister should be close to a return, but we'll see if the Patriots hold him out next week and through their Week 11 bye.

Jacob Hollister | Raiders TE

Jacob Hollister (hamstring) is listed as questionable for Week 9.

Hollister hasn't played since Week 2, but he appears to be getting close to a return. We'll see if he's able to suit up against the Packers on Sunday night.

Jacob Hollister | Raiders TE

Jacob Hollister (hamstring) has been ruled out for Week 8.

Hollister was limited in practice during the week, but he's been ruled out already and presumably will not make the trip to Buffalo with the team. The good news for the Patriots is Rob Gronkowski (ankle/back) is listed as questionable for the game and is expected to play barring a setback. But if Gronkowski is out, it'll be Dwayne Allen leading New England at tight end against the Bills.

Jacob Hollister | Raiders TE

Jacob Hollister (hamstring) has been ruled out for Week 7.

Hollister was limited in practice all week, but it's a bit of a surprise he's been ruled out today with Rob Gronkowski (ankle/back) being downgraded to doubtful. Dwayne Allen looks set to be New England's primary tight end against the Bears, but he's mostly contributed as a willing blocker for the Patriots. You might need a touchdown for Allen to deliver Week 7 fantasy value.

Jacob Hollister | Raiders TE

Jacob Hollister (chest) will not play today against the Dolphins.

Hollister took a fall in practice this week and was sent to the hospital, so he’s not going to be active in Week 4. Dwayne Allen should be locked in behind Rob Gronkowski as the No. 2 tight end, but he isn’t a recommended fantasy option.

Jacob Hollister | Raiders TE

Jacob Hollister (chest) has been ruled out for Week 3.

Hollister didn’t practice, so the Patriots went ahead and ruled him out before the weekend. Dwayne Allen could be in line for more snaps with Hollister out.

Jacob Hollister | Raiders TE

Jacob Hollister catches all three targets in Week 2.

Hollister gained 35 yards on his three receptions against the Jaguars. Hollister is the primary receiving tight end behind Rob Gronkowski, but it's difficult to trust him in fantasy lineups right now.

Jacob Hollister | Raiders TE

Jacob Hollister catches one pass in playoff win.

It came in the fourth quarter and went for no gain. Hollister's impact will mostly come on special teams in the AFC Championship next week.

Jacob Hollister | Raiders TE

Jacob Hollister catches one pass in Week 8.

The rookie tight end was targeted one time, catching the lone target for 13 yards. Hollister contributes for the Patriots, but he's not a recommended fantasy option.

Jacob Hollister | Raiders TE

Jacob Hollister gets one target in Week 5.

With Gronk out, the rookie tight end did receive a target while Dwayne Allen did not, but he didn't become an immediate focus of the passing game. Hopefully Gronkowski won't miss any more games this season, but it'd be difficult to trust Hollister or Allen in fantasy lineups if he does miss more time.

Jacob Hollister | Raiders TE

Jacob Hollister catches 19-yard pass in Week 3.

It was Hollister's only reception of the day, but it was a nice one, as he held on while taking a big hit from Texans corner Jonathan Joseph. Hollister is off the fantasy radar right now.

Jacob Hollister | Raiders TE

Undrafted TE Jacob Hollister made the Patriots final roster.

The undrafted rookie from Wyoming had a great preseason showing and beat out James O'Shaughnessy to win the third tight end spot behind Rob Gronkowski and Dwayne Allen in New England. The only bad news for Hollister is that his twin brother, Cody, did not make the team. It'd be cool if Cody joined his brother as a member of New England's practice squad, something that reportedly will happen if he clears waivers. Jacob probably won't have much fantasy value at all this season, but he'll be a contributor for the Patriots.
