WOLF SPORTS PROJECTION

Jake Kumerow | Bills WR

The Bills re-signed Jake Kumerow.

Ahead of free agency, Kumerow is back with Buffalo on a one-year deal. Kumerow will serve as strong depth at receiver for the Bills, but we’ll see if he can work his way into a bigger role.

Jake Kumerow | Bills WR

The Saints have claimed Jake Kumerow, according to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport.

Kumerow was expected to stay in Buffalo by re-joining the practice squad, but that won’t be the case after New Orleans was awarded him off waivers. A quick role wouldn’t be a surprise in Week 17 with the receiving corps extremely banged up.

The Bills have released Jake Kumerow.

Kumerow caught a touchdown last week, but this is a sign that John Brown (ankle) will play on Monday night. We could see Kumerow go to Buffalo’s practice squad.

The Bills signed Jake Kumerow to the active roster.

Kumerow will help provide depth with John Brown (ankle) on injured reserve, but he's not a highly recommended fantasy pickup in redraft leagues.

Jake Kumerow | Bills WR

The Bills are signing Jake Kumerow to the practice squad.

Just 17 players were claimed off waivers today, so many guys released yesterday will have to settle for a practice squad spot for now. Kumerow is off the redraft radar.

Jake Kumerow | Bills WR

The Packers are releasing Jake Kumerow, according to NFL Network's Tom Pelissero.

Kumerow was looking to make the team again and potentially earn a role on an open depth chart, but Green Bay is going with other options behind Davante Adams. The 28-year-old averaged 18.9 yards per reception on 12 grabs last season.

Jake Kumerow catches three passes for 19 yards in Week 17.

Kumerow's season ends with eight receptions for 103 yards and a touchdown in five games, as he spent the first 13 weeks of the year on injured reserve. Aaron Rodgers is a fan of Kumerow, which is a major bonus for him moving forward, but he's not a must-own in dynasty leagues heading into 2019.

Jake Kumerow | Bills WR

Jake Kumerow catches first career touchdown in Packers' Week 16 win.

Kumerow caught three passes for 68 yards and a touchdown, with the score coming on a 49-yard deep ball where he caught it and then made one move to get past the safety for six. Congrats to Kumerow for his first NFL touchdown, and hopefully it's the first of many. Kumerow remains a strong dynasty-league hold.

Jake Kumerow | Bills WR

Jake Kumerow catches one pass in Week 15.

Kumerow gained five yards on his one reception against the Bears. Kumerow has upside as a dynasty-league hold, but he doesn't need to be owned in redraft leagues heading into fantasy championship weeks.

Jake Kumerow | Bills WR

Jake Kumerow catches one pass in 2018 debut.

Kumerow gained 11 yards on his one reception versus the Cardinals. This was his first appearance of the season after just being activated off injured reserve after a shoulder injury suffered in the preseason. Kumerow is more of a dynasty-league option for now.

Jake Kumerow | Bills WR

The Packers have activated Jake Kumerow to the 53-man roster.

Kumerow has spent the first 12 weeks of the season on injured reserve, but the preseason star is now on the active roster. He's not a fantasy option yet, but Kumerow is particularly worth holding onto in dynasty leagues. Deeper leagues should look into picking him up in redraft formats.

Jake Kumerow | Bills WR

Jake Kumerow (shoulder) has returned to practice.

This means Kumerow, who was placed on injured reserve before the regular season because of a shoulder injury suffered in the preseason, is Green Bay's second designated-to-return player from injured reserve. Kumerow had a strong preseason with 190 yards, and he's someone to keep an eye on—particularly in dynasty leagues—but he doesn't need to be picked up in standard redraft leagues. Kumerow now has 21 days to be activated to the 53-man roster or remain on IR for the rest of the season. This also rules out Geronimo Allison (groin) returning in 2018.

Jake Kumerow | Bills WR

The Packers are placing Jake Kumerow on injured reserve, according to NFL Network.

Kumerow had 190 receiving yards this preseason and notably drew praise from Aaron Rodgers, but his shoulder injury is forcing him on IR. Perhaps Kumerow will be brought back as a designated-to-return player after eight weeks, but he's way off the fantasy radar in standard-sized leagues for now.

Jake Kumerow | Bills WR

Jake Kumerow's shoulder injury is a sprained SC joint, according to NFL Network's Tom Pelissero.

Pelissero says Kumerow is likely to miss some time, but it shouldn't keep him out for a long stretch. Kumerow has drawn praise from Aaron Rodgers this summer and has reportedly made plays throughout training camp, so he remains in a good spot as he looks to crack the 53-man roster for Green Bay.

Jake Kumerow | Bills WR

Jake Kumerow leaves preseason game with a shoulder injury.

He's done for the night, but the injury probably isn't too serious with him walking around the sideline with his shoulder pads still on. Before leaving, Kumerow had an 82-yard touchdown on a catch and run after caching an out route by the sideline. Kumerow has drawn praise from Aaron Rodgers this summer, and he's producing in game action, so he might work his way into a role when the regular season begins.

Jake Kumerow | Bills WR

Jake Kumerow is getting first-team reps in training camp.

The 2015 undrafted receiver is reportedly standing out early at Packers camp, and he's earned some work with the first-team offense because of it. Kumerow stands at 6'4" and runs in the 4.5s, so he has the size-speed combination going for him. He's certainly someone to keep an eye on throughout the preseason, as he could potentially become an impact player if he gains the trust of Aaron Rodgers, who would likely push for him to get playing time if they form a solid connection.
