WOLF SPORTS PROJECTION

K.J. Hamler | Broncos WR

K.J. Hamler tore his ACL.

Hamler's season is over after three games during which he caught five passes for 74 yards. This is obviously a really tough break for an explosive young player. The Broncos could be relying on Courtland Sutton and Tim Patrick heavily these next few weeks with Jerry Jeudy (ankle) also currently out. We wish Hamler the best on his recovery and look forward to seeing him back on the field in 2022.

K.J. Hamler | Broncos WR

K.J. Hamler (knee) has officially been ruled out for the rest of today.

Hamler had a 28-yard reception before leaving against the Jets. Hopefully the dynamic second-year receiver isn't dealing with an injury that'll lead to a lengthy absence.

K.J. Hamler | Broncos WR

K.J. Hamler (hamstring) has been ruled out for Sunday.

It appeared Hamler had a shot to return for Week 6, but his hamstring injury will keep him out another game. The rookie receiver remains week-to-week but is trending in the right direction.

K.J. Hamler | Broncos WR

K.J. Hamler (hamstring) is out for the rest of tonight.

Hamler dealt with a hamstring issue throughout the summer and to start the season, so this isn't good to hear. Hamler didn't have any receptions before leaving for the Broncos.

K.J. Hamler | Broncos WR

K.J. Hamler if off the Week 2 injury report.

Hamler was able to practice in full this week, and he’s ready to make his NFL debut this Sunday against the Steelers. The rookie from Penn State is an exciting player, but he’ll be difficult to trust in fantasy lineups for his first game.

K.J. Hamler | Broncos WR

K.J. Hamler (hamstring) is officially inactive for Week 1.

This was expected after Broncos head coach Vic Fangio said he thought it might be tough for Kamler to play tonight against the Titans. The NFL debut for the explosive rookie receiver from Penn State will come in Week 2 at the earliest.

K.J. Hamler | Broncos WR

K.J. Hamler (hamstring) is questionable for Monday night.

Broncos head coach Vic Fangio says it'll probably be tough for Hamler to play, but the rookie receiver has a shot and is questionable for Week 1. If active against the Titans on Monday night, Hamler won't be a highly recommended FLEX option.

K.J. Hamler | Broncos WR

K.J. Hamler will miss a couple of weeks with a hamstring injury.

Hamler's Week 1 status is no in doubt, and it's a shame after the explosive second-round rookie was said to be having a good camp. Hopefully Hamler can be ready to go for a Monday night matchup against the Titans to kickoff the Broncos' season; but, especially after the missed time, he won't be a highly recommended fantasy option to start the year even if he's in the lineup.

K.J. Hamler | Broncos WR

The Broncos have selected Penn State wide receiver K.J. Hamler with the No. 46 overall pick in the 2020 NFL Draft.

Hamler is an electric weapon that can stop on a dime and score from anywhere on the field, but it will be interesting to see if the Broncos uses him exclusively as a slot receiver or allows him to play more outside after also adding Jerry Jeudy with the No. 15 pick yesterday. Either way, Hamler will immediately begin his career as an upside FLEX consideration every week because of his big-play potential, and Denver should find a way to get the ball in his hands however they can. The Broncos suddenly have a stacked offense this offseason after adding Melvin Gordon, Jeudy, and Hamler. The full scouting report for Hamler can be viewed in the link below.
