Marcus Johnson | 49ers WR

The 49ers signed Marcus Johnson.

Johnson is an intriguing potential deep threat in the Niners' receiving corps, and he's someone to watch during camp this summer.

Marcus Johnson | 49ers WR

The Titans are signing Marcus Johnson to the practice squad.

Johnson has spent a good amount of time with the Colts, so he could give some intel if the AFC South rivals match up during the postseason. Johnson brings a speed element to the Titans.

Marcus Johnson | 49ers WR

The Colts re-signed Marcus Johnson.

Indy didn't tender Johnson ahead of free agency this year, but the deep threat will return to the team before the NFL draft begins tomorrow night. Johnson will look to gain the trust of new quarterback Philip Rivers and become a frequent target on passes down the field from the veteran quarterback in particular this season.

Marcus Johnson | 49ers WR

The Colts will not tender Marcus Johnson.

Johnson will be available for any team to sign on the open market without the Colts being able to automatically match the offer if they choose. The deep threat is just 25 and should draw a good amount of interest when free agency begins.

Marcus Johnson | 49ers WR

The Colts are releasing Marcus Johnson, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.

It's a slight surprise that the Colts are releasing Johnson after losing Devin Funchess to a collarbone injury, but the speedy receiver shouldn't have much trouble finding a new team. Right now, Johnson is off the redraft radar, but we'll see where he lands.

Marcus Johnson | 49ers WR

The Colts have tendered exclusive rights free agent Marcus Johnson.

Johnson was required by Indianapolis last September, and Colts head coach Frank Reich, who spent time with Johnson in Philadelphia, is high on the deep threat. The Texas product will remain in Indy for 2019, and he shouldn't be counted out of working his way into a starting role as one of Andrew Luck's top receivers. Johnson is worth picking up or holding in dynasty leagues.

Marcus Johnson | 49ers WR

The Colts have placed Marcus Johnson on injured reserve.

This is tough for Johnson, who just caught his first career touchdown on a 34-yard deep ball from Andrew Luck on Sunday. Johnson is dealing with an ankle injury, and the team is opting to send him to injured reserve. Perhaps Johnson will be brought back after eight weeks, but if not, his season ends with six receptions for 102 yards and a touchdown. We look forward to seeing the 2016 undrafted free agent back on the field stronger than ever.

Marcus Johnson | 49ers WR

Marcus Johnson scores in Colts' loss.

Johnson caught a 34-yard touchdown by getting behind the defense as Andrew Luck stepped up in the pocket and hit him in stride for six. Johnson also had an 18-yard reception in the game, bringing his total to two reception for 52 yards and a touchdown. The score was Johnson's first as a Colt, and he could be earning a larger role on offense as he gets more acclimated to his new team. He's someone to keep an eye on.

Marcus Johnson | 49ers WR

Marcus Johnson catches both targets in Week 5.

Johnson received a good amount of playing time toward the end of tonight's game, gaining 26 yards on his two receptions. Johnson remains a dynasty-league option, but he's not a recommended option in standard re-draft leagues.

Marcus Johnson | 49ers WR

Marcus Johnson catches two passes against the Texans.

Johnson gained 24 yards on his two receptions in the Week 5 loss. Johnson is just a dynasty-league option for now.

Marcus Johnson | 49ers WR

Marcus Johnson gets one touch in Week 3.

The former Eagles receiver had one carry for -2 yards against his former Eagles team. He's just a dynasty-league option at the moment.

Marcus Johnson | 49ers WR

The Seahawks traded Marcus Johnson to the Colts, according to Brady Henderson.

Marcus Johnson, who came over from the Michael Bennett trade with Philadelphia, played well for Seattle this preseason—Russell Wilson even said he thought Johnson could be a future star. However, the Seahawks have a deep receiver group and decided to deal him to Indianapolis. With the Colts, Johnson rejoins Frank Reich, who was the offensive coordinator last year with the Eagles. He has a chance to eventually seize the No. 2 receiver role in Indy.

Marcus Johnson | 49ers WR

Marcus Johnson catches three passes in Week 17.

Johnson got extended time with many Eagles starters resting for much of the game, and he gained 23 yards on his three receptions, though he did have a lost fumble.

Marcus Johnson | 49ers WR

Marcus Johnson catches lone target in Week 6.

The second-year undrafted receiver ran a nice comeback route for 16 yards off a play-action pass from a run formation. Johnson isn't getting enough playing time to put up reliable numbers.
