Mike Glennon | Free Agent QB

Mike Glennon is getting wrist surgery.

Glennon is obviously out for Week 18, so this ends his season. Glennon played in six games (four starts) for the Giants and threw four touchdowns compared to ten interceptions, but he was in a very tough spot on a bad team. Jake Fromm is set to start for the Giants against Washington this Sunday.

Mike Glennon will start in Week 14.

Glennon cleared the NFL's concussion protocol and is good to go for Sunday against the Chargers. It's good to hear that the veteran quarterback is feeling good and has been fully cleared.

The Giants are signing Mike Glennon.

Glennon will be the new backup for Daniel Jones, but New York are hoping the former No. 6 overall pick is able to stay healthy in a big season for him. In five starts with the Jaguars last year, Glennon went 0-5 with a 7:5 touchdown-interception ratio.

Mike Glennon will start for the Jaguars tomorrow.

The Jaguars continue to flip things around at quarterback this season, with Gardner Minshew headed back to the bench. Glennon is not a highly recommended fantasy option going up against his former Bears team.

Mike Glennon is starting for the Jaguars in Week 12.

After three starts from rookie Jake Luton, Jacksonville is turning to the veteran Glennon at quarterback as they try to get on the board for more wins. This doesn't have a huge impact from a fantasy perspective, and Glennon is not a recommended pickup.

The Jaguars promoted Mike Glennon to the active roster.

Despite not initially being kept on the 53-man roster, Glennon might slide into the backup quarterback spot for Week 1. From a fantasy perspective, Glennon is off the radar.

The Jaguars are signing Mike Glennon to the practice squad.

Jacksonville went with a younger duo on the 53-man roster yesterday, but Glennon rejoins the organization as a third quarterback and a veteran option that can be called up if necessary during this COVID-impacted season.

The Jaguars are releasing Mike Glennon, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.

Glennon signed in the offseason for a chance to compete for the No. 2 job, but the team is going with rookie Jake Luton behind Gardner Minshew. It will be interesting to see what the market is for quarterbacks over the next few days with COVID-19 possibly changing how rosters are constructed compared to normal years.

The Jaguars are signing Mike Glennon, according to NFL Network's Mike Garafolo.

Glennon spent last year in Oakland, and he will now compete to backup Gardner Minshew as the No. 2 option on a depth chart that currently includes Joshua Dobbs and rookie Jake Luton. The veteran has made 22 career starts and will bring some added experience to the quarterback room for a young Jacksonville squad.

The Raiders have signed Mike Glennon.

Oakland recently released A.J. McCarron, and they’ve found their replacement with Glennon, who was recently released by Arizona. The veteran will back up Derek Carr in 2019 as one of the steadier No. 2 options in the league.

The Cardinals have released Mike Glennon.

Signed to a two-year deal last offseason, Glennon isn't a fit for Kliff Kingsbury in Arizona, but he shouldn't take long to resurface elsewhere as a backup. The bigger quarterback move (or non-move) will come in the 2019 NFL Draft when the team either selects Oklahoma's Kyler Murray or sticks with Josh Rosen.

Mike Glennon sees action in blowout loss.

Glennon was five-of-seven for 63 yards as he replaced Josh Rosen in a 31-9 defeat. The veteran could possibly draw a start next week if the Cardinals want to keep Rosen healthy after he got a little banged up on Sunday, but he wouldn't be a recommended fantasy option in Seattle.

Mike Glennon sees action in blowout loss.

Replacing a Josh Rosen in the fourth quarter of a 40-14 defeat, Glennon was 10/14 for 111 yards, one touchdown, and zero interceptions. The veteran obviously saw softer coverage when he entered the game, but he would probably be a clear upgrade over Rosen for the Arizona offense. That said, he will almost certainly revert back to No. 2 duties in Week 16.

The Cardinals are signing Mike Glennon to a two-year deal.

Yesterday it was reported that this would happen, and it came together just a couple minutes after the Bears officially released Glennon. NFL Network's Ian Rapoport says it's a two-year deal worth $8 million for Glennon, but he might have some incentives if he is forced to hit the field and plays well. Sam Bradford has unfortunately had trouble staying healthy throughout his career, so Glennon probably figured he might have a decent shot of playing with Arizona.

The Cardinals are going to sign quarterback Mike Glennon, according to Tiffany Blackmon.

Glennon is technically under contract with the Bears, but they are going to cut him when the new league year begins; and the Cardinals are going to sign him. Arizona signed Sam Bradford to be their starter earlier today, but Bradford has unfortunately been unable to stay healthy for much of his career, and Glennon gives them a solid backup. This move could make the Cardinals less urgent to go after a quarterback in this year's draft if they are happy with the former number one overall pick Bradford leading the way with Glennon as insurance behind him.

The Bears will release Mike Glennon when the new league year starts.

GM Ryan Pace stated this at the NFL Combine, and it's not a surprise. When Glennon signed last year, he probably thought he would have the opportunity to be the team's franchise quarterback, but that wasn't very realistic after the team traded from No. 3 to No. 2 and selected Mitchell Trubisky in the draft. Perhaps Glennon will get some consideration as a potential starting quarterback in free agency, but he might have to settle for a backup role somewhere else. The Bucs have been linked to Glennon after he spent the first four years of his career with them.

Mike Glennon and the Bears fall to 1-3 with loss to the Packers.

The start was not good for the Bears, as they quickly fell behind 21-0 after a few quick turnovers in the Thursday night matchup. Mike Glennon was 21/33 for 216 yards, one touchdown, two interceptions, and two fumbles lost. On the first offensive play for the Bears, the Packers got a strip sack, and they picked Glennon off on a couple of passes over the middle. As Tony Romo noted a few times on the broadcast, the Bears don't have much skill outside offensively, which makes things harder on Glennon. He's not a fantasy option right now.

Mike Glennon barely cracks 100 passing yards as the Bears ground-and-pound their way to overtime victory over the Steelers.

Glennon was 15/22 for 101 yards, one touchdown, and one interception in the 23-17 win, their first of the season. He only completed one pass to a wide receiver, but he did enough to pull off the home upset. Glennon obviously isn't a fantasy option heading into Thursday night's matchup with the Packers.

Mike Glennon throws two interceptions in Bears' loss.

The Buccaneers came out after their Week 1 bye and really limited the Bears on offense. Glennon was 31/45 for 301 yards, one touchdown, two interceptions (including a pick-six), and a lost fumble in the game. Bears head coach John Fox said Glennon is safe as the starter—but things can change quickly. Chicago has another difficult game next Sunday against the Steelers.

Bears and Mike Glennon come just short up upset over the Falcons in Week 1.

Glennon took four sacks in the game, but he played well against the defending NFC champions, going 26/40 for 213 yards and a touchdown. The touchdown was to electric rookie Tarik Cohen in the fourth quarter. Glennon drove the Bears down the field at the end of the game, but they came up just short on four goal-to-go attempts with under a minute to go in the game. Glennon plays his former team next week as the Bears travel to Tampa to face the Buccaneers.

Mike Glennon | Free Agent QB

Mike Glennon plays great in Bears' third preseason game.

Glennon was 11/18 for 134 yards and one touchdown in the exhibition versus the Titans. With rookie Mitchell Trubisky coming on strong, the pressure was on for Glennon today and he answered with a very solid performance. Glennon threw accurate passes and made good decisions while playing the entire first half. Trubisky is now entering the game in the second half, but Glennon appears to be safe as Chicago's starter entering Week 1 versus the Falcons. The bad news for Glennon is that he lost his number one receiver Cameron Meredith to a knee injury that certainly looks like will keep him out for an extended period of time and likely the season.

Mike Glennon throws one TD, one INT in exhibition against Arizona.

Glennon was 13/18 for 89 yards, one touchdown, and one interception total in the Week 2 preseason game. The interception came on a poor decision that was also inaccurate (too far inside) on an out-route to Kendall Wright in the red zone that Tyrann Mathieu easily picked off. The touchdown came after, also on an out route to Wright (a four-yarder). Glennon and the Bears face the Titans in the third preseason game next Sunday.

Mike Glennon struggles in preseason opener for Chicago.

The Bears starter was 2/8 for 20 yards and an interception. On the interception, Glennon was drilled as he threw it—they were playing the Broncos, so it wasn't easy on the Bears. Meanwhile, rookie Mitchell Trubisky lit it up when he entered the game at the end of the second quarter. People are clamoring for a quarterback controversy, but that probably won't happen until Trubisky starts getting first-team reps (he's been with the third team).

Bears GM Ryan Pace: "Mike Glennon is our starting quarterback."

Chicago gave Glennon $18.5 million guaranteed in free agency, but selected UNC's Mitchell Trubisky with the second overall pick in the draft. Trubisky is seen by many as someone that can step right in and play, but the team has been clear of their commitment to Mike Glennon to start the year. Of course, things can change of the rookie Trubisky lights it up throughout training camp and the preseason and is too good to keep off the field—like what Russell Wilson did as a rookie in Seattle. But Glennon is the heavy favorite to be the Bears' starter in Week 1.

Mike Glennon | Free Agent QB

Aaron Leming says it's "very evident" Mike Glennon isn't happy about the quarterback situation moving forward.

This should come as a a shock to no one. Glennon signed with the Bears thinking he would have a chance to be the long-term quarterback, but there is almost no chance that happens after the team took Mitchell Trubisky with the second overall pick. Glennon is going to have to play like a top tier quarterback to keep the starting job long-term. Glennon did say this is his team for 2017. For this season, he probably won't be a QB1, but could deliver as a QB2 in fantasy.

Mike Glennon | Free Agent QB

Bears GM Ryan Pace says Mike Glennon is still the team's starting quarterback.

Chicago shocked everyone when they traded up from number three to number two overall to draft UNC quarterback Mitchell Trubisky. The Bears are going to take it slow with Trubisky, who has a lot of tools but only started 13 games at North Carolina. Glennon is going to have to play out of his mind to keep the starting job for long, as the Bears gave up three 3rd's and a 4th to move up one spot for a quarterback. Glennon doesn't have a great supporting cast and probably will not be a viable fantasy option this season.

Mike Glennon | Free Agent QB

The Bears have officially signed quarterback Mike Glennon.

Glennon will likely start for Chicago for at least this season (unless they draft someone that turns out to be too good not to play), but his guaranteed money makes it easy for the Bears to get out of the deal if things do not work out. Glennon probably won't be a good fantasy option, especially without wide receiver Alshon Jeffery, who signed with Philadelphia. Glennon probably should not be drafted in 2017 fantasy drafts.

Mike Glennon | Free Agent QB

Ian Rapoport reports the Bears will sign Mike Glennon to a three-year contract, worth $14.5 million/year.

Rapoport also says the Bears will still draft a quarterback. They have the number three pick in the draft. This contract isn't that straining on the cap, but it's fair to wonder if the Bears could've got Glennon for less if no other teams were as interested in making him their starter.

Mike Glennon | Free Agent QB

Bills, Jets, 49ers all are out of the running for Mike Glennon, according to CSN Chicago.

It appears the Bears have already far out priced all those teams for Glennon. It might be only a matter of time until Glennon agrees to a contract with Chicago.

Mike Glennon | Free Agent QB

Mike Silver says he believes Mike Glennon will end up with the Bears.

Silver also notes that he doesn't think the 49ers or Jets have real interest. There is a lot of smoke between Glennon and the Bears right now.

Mike Glennon | Free Agent QB

According to Ian Rapoport, Mike Glennon's "preferred" destination is the Chicago Bears.

Rapoport also says the Bears are expected to go after Glennon when the legal tampering period begins today at noon. If true, this would very likely take the Bears out of the quarterback discussion at the top of the first round. Things could come together quickly when the legal tampering begins.

Mike Glennon | Free Agent QB

The 49ers might be interested in quarterback Mike Glennon, according to Jenna Laine of ESPN.

Laine notes that there is interest "dating back to last season," but it's unclear if the interest is from the 49ers or Kyle Shanahan. It might be a mistake to give Glennon a big contract in free agency, but it would not be that surprising; he's a quarterback and that's what teams are looking for. Deshaun Watson at number two overall in the draft wouldn't be a bad idea, although it seems teams aren't interested in him at the top of the draft.
