The Saints are signing Nick Vannett.
The 2016 third-round pick is getting a three-year deal, presumably helping the Saints get him under the cap. Vannett will help round out the Saints' tight end group in 2021, but he's likely to make more of a real-life impact than any fantasy impact.
The Broncos have signed Nick Vannett to a two-year deal, according to Ian Rapoport.
Vannett caught 17 passes last season with the Steelers and Seahawks, so we'll see if he's able to build on those numbers behind Noah Fant in 2020. At six-foot-six, Vannett could potentially be a solid red zone threat for Drew Lock, but he isn't currently a recommended fantasy option.
The Steelers are acquiring Nick Vannett, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter.
The 2016 third-round pick of the Seahawks is behind Will Dissly on the tight end depth chart in Seattle, but Pittsburgh is a good spot for him. The Steelers probably would like to use more two tight-end sets moving forward, and Vannett should be a big part of that. However, the Ohio State product is not a recommended fantasy pickup unless Vance McDonald, who left Week 3 with a shoulder injury and has an unclear recovery timetable, happens to miss more time.

It went for five yards. Entering the final year of his rookie deal, Vannett should have a chance to open 2019 as the starter, but the former third-round pick is unlikely to find himself on the fantasy radar barring a standout summer.

It went for 12 yards, which was actually second on the team. Vannett should have more success as a TE2 option next week in San Francisco.
Nick Vannett catches one pass in Week 13 win.
It went for four yards. Vannett probably isn't worth considering as anything more than a low-end TE2 in the fantasy playoffs. He gets the Vikings next week.

Vannett caught one pass for eight yards and a touchdown in Seattle's Week 10 win. Vannett caught a laser strike from Russell Wilson between two defenders late in the game, showing great concentration to come up with a pass that wasn't easy to secure. Overall, Vannett had six receptions for 52 yards and a touchdown in the loss to the Chargers, while Ed Dickson had no receptions. Seattle has a bit of a committee tight end approach right now, so it's difficult to trust Vannett in fantasy lineups.

Vannett is Seattle’s starter with rookie Will Dissly out for the year, so this is a concern for a guy who has previously dealt with back issues. The Seahawks re-signed Tyrone Swoopes to the practice squad yesterday, which suggests they are at least slightly concerned about Vannett’s status. We’ll see if he can get back on the field tomorrow.
Nick Vannett catches one pass in win over Arizona.
It went for six yards. Vannett could see extended playing time with standout rookie Will Dissly out for the year, but he probably isn't anything more than a desperation play in two-TE leagues. For what it's worth, he gets a good matchup against the Rams in Week 5.
Nick Vannett catches four passes against Dallas.
Vannett was targeted five times in the Week 3 win, gaining 27 yards on his four receptions. Vannett is difficult to trust in fantasy lineups while splitting time at tight end, but he's a good real-life contributor for the Seahawks.

Vannett was targeted five times in the loss to the Bears, gaining 23 yards on his three receptions. Meanwhile, rookie tight end Will Dissly had another play over 30 yards and scored in the loss. Vannett is not a fantasy option while he splits time at tight end.
