WOLF SPORTS PROJECTION

Seth Roberts | Free Agent WR

The Panthers have released Seth Roberts.

The veteran has caught just four passes this year, but it wouldn't be a surprise to see him quickly land on someone's active roster. That said, Roberts isn't currently on the fantasy radar.

Seth Roberts | Free Agent WR

Seth Roberts is signing with the Panthers, according to Ian Rapoport.

Roberts will bring some size to the Carolina receiving corps, but he may end up being veteran depth more than anything else, as the Panthers are likely going to be able to add a third starter alongside D.J. Moore and Curtis Samuel in April's draft. The former Raider spent last season in Baltimore and caught 21 passes for 271 yards and two touchdowns.

Seth Roberts | Free Agent WR

The Ravens are signing Seth Roberts, according to Adam Schefter.

It will be a one-year deal for the former Raider, and if the season started tomorrow, he would immediately slot in as a starter as things currently stand in Baltimore. That said, the team is sure to be aggressive targeting the position in the draft, so at best, Roberts will probably open 2019 as the team's No. 3 receiver—but more likely No. 4 or No. 5 and a veteran presence. Especially on a run-first offense, the 28-year-old probably won't be a significant fantasy contributor in the fall.

Seth Roberts | Free Agent WR

The Raiders released Seth Roberts, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter.

This was expected after the team added Antonio Brown, Tyrell Williams, J.J. Nelson, and Ryan Grant all this offseason. Roberts has been a reliable guy for Derek Carr these past four seasons, eclipsing 397+ yards in each of those years and recording 158 receptions for 1,826 yards and 13 touchdowns in total. The 28-year-old can play both in the slot and on the outside, and he shouldn't have much trouble landing with another team soon.

Seth Roberts | Free Agent WR

Seth Roberts caught five passes for 31 yards in Sunday's loss to the Chiefs.

He also rushed once for a loss of four yards. Roberts ends his age-27 season with 45 receptions for 494 yards and two touchdowns. He is under contract for 2019, but Oakland can move on from him with zero impact on the cap.

Seth Roberts | Free Agent WR

Seth Roberts catches two passes against the Broncos.

Roberts gained 14 yards on his two receptions in the Raiders' Christmas Eve victory. Roberts is a better real-life contributor than fantasy asset heading into the season finale.

Seth Roberts | Free Agent WR

Seth Roberts catches three passes in Raiders' Week 15 loss.

Roberts gained 29 yards on his three receptions against the Bengals, also adding one carry for -2 yards. Roberts is a better real-life contributor for the Raiders than he is a fantasy asset, but he scored a touchdown in his first game of the year against his next opponent, the Broncos.

Seth Roberts | Free Agent WR

Seth Roberts comes up clutch in Week 14.

Roberts caught five passes for 76 yards in Oakland's win over Pittsburgh, and he had a key 39-yard reception late in the fourth quarter on an absolute dime down the deep middle part of the field from Derek Carr. This was Roberts' highest receiving total of the season, and he's not a highly-recommended fantasy option in standard-sized leagues.

Seth Roberts | Free Agent WR

Seth Roberts (concussion) is active for the Raiders.

Roberts popped up on the injury report Thursday with the concussion, but he was able to get cleared ahead of today’s matchup with the Steelers. Perhaps he can deliver some fantasy value if the Raiders must throw the ball around to keep up in this game, but ideally you’ll have a more reliable option for Week 14 fantasy lineups.

Seth Roberts | Free Agent WR

Seth Roberts (concussion) is listed as questionable for Sunday.

Roberts practiced full today, so he looks to have a good shot to play against the Steelers. He won’t be a recommended fantasy option for Week 14, though.

Seth Roberts | Free Agent WR

Seth Roberts catches three passes in Week 13.

Roberts gained 25 yards on his three receptions versus Kansas City. Roberts it not a recommended fantasy option at the moment.

Seth Roberts | Free Agent WR

Seth Roberts caught two passes for 54 yards in Sunday's loss to the Raiders.

He also rushed once for 11 yards, and his receiving total actually led the team on just three targets. Roberts will be a better real-life player than fantasy option down the stretch, but perhaps he can have a big day next week against the Chiefs, as Oakland will obviously need to score points.

Seth Roberts | Free Agent WR

Seth Roberts catches four passes in Week 11.

Roberts was targeted a team-high seven times against the Cardinals, caching four passes for 38 yards. Roberts notably had a tough drop on a would-be first down. He’s not a recommended fantasy option at the moment.

Seth Roberts | Free Agent WR

Seth Roberts caught three passes for 39 yards in Sunday's loss against the Chargers.

Roberts was able to bring in all three of his targets, but Oakland struggled again offensively with just two field goals in a 20-6 defeat. Fantasy owners should look elsewhere for Week 11.

Seth Roberts | Free Agent WR

Seth Roberts held to one reception in Week 9 loss.

It went for eight yards. He's shown good chemistry with Derek Carr, but Roberts isn't a recommended fantasy option for Week 10 as Oakland rotates receivers in different personnel groupings.

Seth Roberts | Free Agent WR

Seth Roberts (concussion) is out for the rest of today's game.

Before leaving, Roberts had four receptions for 22 yards and one carry for nine yards. Hopefully he's feeling better soon.

Seth Roberts | Free Agent WR

Seth Roberts sees a team-high seven targets in Week 5 loss.

Roberts, who has long been a favorite of Derek Carr, caught four passes for 41 yards against the Chargers. The 27-year-old is a better real-life player than fantasy option thanks to his chemistry with Carr, so keep him on the waiver wire heading into a matchup with the Seahawks.

Seth Roberts | Free Agent WR

Seth Roberts is inactive for Week 3.

Roberts was not listed on the inure report, so he appears to be a healthy scratch despite catching a touchdown last week. Martavis Bryant might be the clear No. 3 receiver for Oakland today against the Dolphins, so he has some upside as a desperate FLEX option.

Seth Roberts | Free Agent WR

Seth Roberts scores in Raiders’ loss.

Roberts was targeted three times in the Week 2 loss to Denver, catching all three targets for 43 yards and a touchdown. The score was a 20-yard strike down the seam. Oakland was previously 10-0 when Roberts scores a touchdown, so this was the first time they lost when he scored.

Seth Roberts | Free Agent WR

Seth Roberts catches one pass in Raiders' loss.

Roberts had a key first down on a quick flat route type of screen in the first half, which he gained 11 yards on. That was Roberts' lone reception of the game, as he didn't seem to get a ton of playing time as the No. 3 receiver for Oakland.

Seth Roberts | Free Agent WR

Seth Roberts catches five passes in Week 17.

Roberts gained 48 yards on his five receptions, and his final stat line for the season is 43/455/1. He had five touchdowns in each of his first two NFL seasons, so Roberts will look to get closer to that mark in 2018 for an Oakland team that'll look to bounce back after a subpar year.

Seth Roberts | Free Agent WR

Seth Roberts gets five targets against the Eagles.

Roberts' five targets were a team high, and he caught three passes for 23 yards in Oakland's loss. Derek Carr tried to target Roberts on a deep crossing route in the game, but the pass was severely underthrown because Carr was under some pressure. Roberts isn't a recommended fantasy option right now.

Seth Roberts | Free Agent WR

Seth Roberts catches three passes in Week 15.

Roberts gained a team-high 52 receiving yards against the Cowboys, working as a big-play target as the only wide receiver with over 10 yards per reception in the loss. If Amari Cooper (ankle) remains out, next week against the Eagles is an intriguing matchup for Roberts, but there are probably  better FLEX options out there.

Seth Roberts | Free Agent WR

Seth Roberts caught three passes for 24 yards in Sunday's loss.

Roberts couldn't do much with Derek Carr and the offense as a whole being shutdown. He's a good real-life target, but look elsewhere in Week 15.

Seth Roberts | Free Agent WR

Seth Roberts caught five passes for 46 yards in Sunday's win over the Giants.

Roberts had a bigger role with Michael Crabtree (suspension) and Amari Cooper (concussion, ankle) out, and he was a reliable target for Derek Carr. He will continue to have a role when Crabtree and Cooper return, but Roberts won't be a recommended fantasy option down the stretch.

Seth Roberts | Free Agent WR

Seth Roberts caught two passes for 26 yards in Sunday's win over Denver.

Roberts is a good real-life player, but he hasn't scored since the season opener and has yet to surpass 50 yards in a game. Keep him on the waiver wire.

Seth Roberts | Free Agent WR

Seth Roberts caught five passes for 36 yards in Sunday's loss to New England.

He also lost a fumble. Roberts isn't a strong fantasy option behind Amari Cooper and Michael Crabtree.

Seth Roberts | Free Agent WR

Seth Roberts get two targets against Miami.

Roberts caught both targeted, gaining 28 yards on his two receptions. He’s a good player and makes key plays for the Raiders, but Roberts’ role simply isn’t big enough to be a reliable fantasy option.

Seth Roberts | Free Agent WR

Seth Roberts catches one pass against the Chiefs.

Roberts was targeted six times in the Thursday night contest, gaining 15 yards on his lone reception. Roberts is someone Derek Carr trusts behind Amari Cooper and Michael Crabtree, but he doesn't get enough work to be a recommended fantasy option.

Seth Roberts | Free Agent WR

Seth Roberts catches all three targets in Week 6.

Roberts gained 35 yards on his three receptions versus the Chargers. He's a good player for the Raiders and he's someone Derek Carr likes throwing to, but it's difficult to trust Roberts in fantasy lineups.

Seth Roberts | Free Agent WR

Seth Roberts caught two passes for 34 yards in Sunday's loss to the Ravens.

Roberts has actually been the team's second-best receiver with Amari Cooper struggling. Still, he's not a recommended fantasy option whether or not Derek Carr (back) returns next Sunday.

Seth Roberts | Free Agent WR

Seth Roberts caught four passes for 49 yards in Sunday's loss to Denver.

Roberts got the start with Michael Crabtree out, and he was second on the team in catches and yards. If Crabtree is out again next Sunday, Roberts might be worth a look in fantasy leagues, but he's probably better left on the waiver wire.

Seth Roberts | Free Agent WR

Seth Roberts caught four passes for 20 yards in Sunday's loss to the Redskins.

Considering the overall performance by Oakland's offense, it was a decent game from Roberts, though he did lose a fumble, so he didn't have any fantasy points. Hopefully you didn't decide to play him for some reason. He can stay on the waiver wire with a visit to Denver next Sunday.

Seth Roberts | Free Agent WR

Seth Roberts scored in Week 1.

Roberts always seems to make big plays for the Raiders, and he did in Tennessee versus the Titans. He caught his only target of the day for a 19-yard touchdown in the fourth quarter of Oakland's 26-16 victory. Roberts will be more of a contributor for the Raiders than he will for your fantasy team.

Seth Roberts | Free Agent WR

Raiders sign receiver Seth Roberts to a two-year extension.

The extension keeps Roberts with the Raiders through 2019. According to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport, Roberts is receiving $12 million with $6.45 million guaranteed, so it's an excellent deal for the 2014 undrafted free agent. Roberts has ten touchdowns combined over the last two seasons, and he'll look to continue contributing to the team for the next three seasons. With Amari Cooper, Michael Crabtree, and now Cordarrelle Patterson in the mix, it's unlikely he delivers good fantasy value; but he'll be an important part of Oakland's offense.

Seth Roberts | Free Agent WR

Seth Roberts catches both targets in Week 1 of the preseason.

He had two receptions for 15 yards in his short time in the game. Roberts will mix in behind Amari Cooper and Michael Crabtree again this season.

Rough night for Roberts in loss.

Seth Roberts caught two-of-nine targets for 12 yards in Oakland's 21-13 loss. For some reason, on 4th-and-1 with the game on the line, Derek Carr gave Roberts a shot down the left sideline but it was incomplete. He's not a fantasy option behind Cooper and Crabtree.

Seth Roberts | Free Agent WR

Seth Roberts caught three passes for 31 yards and a touchdown in the Raiders' Week 12 win.

He also caught a clutch two-point conversion. Roberts seems to be a guy Derek Carr likes throwing to in big situations, but you unfortunately don't get fantasy points for clutch plays, so while he'll have nice games, Roberts isn't a good fantasy option behind Cooper and Crabtree.
