The Texans placed Taywan Taylor on injured reserve.
Unless he's released from IR at some point, this would end Taylor's season. The deep threat receiver is now off the radar in nearly all fantasy leagues. Houston's receiving corps is working into form as the regular season approaches.
The Texans officially signed Taywan Taylor.
The 2017 third-round pick of the Titans spent the past two years in Cleveland, but he played in just three games and ended last season on injured reserve. The good news for Taylor is that Houston added a bunch of players this offseason and is undoubtedly going to preach healthy competition. Taylor will look to win a big role on offense this summer.
The Browns have signed Taywan Taylor to the active roster.
Taylor will slide in as depth behind Odell Beckham Jr. and Jarvis Landry, but it's unlikely he sees significant playing time, especially after rookie Donovan Peoples-Jones emerged as the No. 3 last week.
The Browns have acquired Taywan Taylor from the Titans.
Taylor was going to slot into the No. 4 role for Tennessee, but this is probably a lateral move, as he'll be behind Odell Beckham Jr., Jarvis Landry, and Rashard Higgins in Cleveland. That said, Taylor can provide some explosiveness and is someone to definitely keep an eye on this season.
Taywan Taylor caught two passes for eight yards in Sunday night's loss.
Taylor saw a healthy six targets—including a dropped deep ball in traffic—but it didn't lead to much success. The 23-year-old ends his second season with 37 receptions for 466 yards and one touchdown. It will be interesting to see what pieces are added to the receiving corps in 2019.
Taywan Taylor leads Tennessee in receiving as team improves to 9-6.
Taylor caught three passes (on three targets) for 64 yards. The 23-year-old has certainly flashed this season, but he probably doesn't have a stable enough floor to strongly consider next week for a potential win-and-in game against the Colts.
Taywan Taylor catches two passes in Week 15.
Taylor gained 17 yards one his two receptions in the Titans' win over the Giants. The second-year receiver has major big-play ability, but it's difficult to trust it with fantasy championships on the line. Taylor faces the Redskins, a team that can be beaten deep, this Saturday.
Taywan Taylor caught six passes for 59 yards in Thursday night's win over the Jaguars.
Taylor led the team in receptions, yards, and targets (seven), but he just missed out on an even bigger night by dropping the lone incompletion thrown to him on a deep ball (though it would have been a touchdown if he was hit in stride). The second-year wideout has come on over the past couple weeks since returning from injury, but he's not worth strongly considering in 10- or 12-team leagues next week against the Giants.
Taywan Taylor has first career 100-yard game in Week 13 victory.
Taylor caught three passes for 104 yards, as he was the recipient of a couple deep dimes by Marcus Mariota. The 23-year-old will hopefully be featured more down the stretch for an offense that badly needs weapons, but Taylor won't be a recommended fantasy option for a tough Week 14 matchup against the Jaguars.
Taywan Taylor is off the Week 13 injury report.
After missing the last three games with a foot injury, the explosive second-year receiver is back for the Titans. Taylor isn't a recommended fantasy option against the Jets, but he'll help bring more speed to Tennessee's offense.
The Titans downgraded Taylor Taylor (foot) to out for Week 12.
Taylor was thought to have a decent chance to play tomorrow night against the Texans, but he isn't making the trip to Houston for the game. The rookie receiver is hopefully close to a return, but he doesn't need to be on fantasy rosters right now.
Taywan Taylor (foot) is listed as questionable for Week 12.
Taylor was limited in practice all week and looks to have a good chance to play against the Texans, but ideally you’ll have a more reliable fantasy option this week. The explosive second-year receiver’s status will be known by around 6:50 PM ET on Monday.
Taywan Taylor (foot) has been ruled out for Week 11.
Taylor was originally called questionable, but he presumably isn't making the trip to Indianapolis for tomorrow's game. This is Taylor's second straight missed game, and he should be considered week-to-week.
Taywan Taylor (foot) is inactive for Week 10.
This isn’t surprise after Taylor just suffered the foot injury last Monday night against the Cowboys. Consider the second-year receiver week-to-week for now.
Taywan Taylor (foot) is listed as questionable for Week 10.
The second-year receiver appeared to suffer a pretty nasty foot sprain last Monday night against the Cowboys, but it looks like he's going to push to play this Sunday against the Patriots. Taylor's status will be known by 11:30 AM ET, but he's not a highly-recommended fantasy option in standard-sized leagues if he's active.
Taywan Taylor (foot) did not return against the Cowboys.
Before leaving, Taylor had two receptions for 24 yards. Hopefully it's not a serious injury to the second-year receiver, but more information should become available in the next day or so.
Taywan Taylor leaves game with apparent foot injury.
Taylor had his left foot rolled up on pretty badly and he was in obvious pain, but he was thankfully able to walk over to the sideline under his own power. We'll update you as more information becomes available on the second-year receiver's status.
Taywan Taylor catches one pass in Week 7.
Taylor's lone reception against the Chargers went for eight yards. Taylor had a big drop on a pass deep over the middle on an in-breaking route, and it would've been a first down at the very least (and maybe more with Taylor's speed). Fellow second-year receiver Corey Davis also struggled, so the Titans will look for their young guys to step up in Week 9 against the Cowboys after their bye.
Taywan Taylor catches one pass in Week 6.
Taylor caught an out route for 13 yards against the Ravens. The dynamic second-year receiver isn't a recommended fantasy option right now.
Taywan Taylor caught three passes for 30 yards in Sunday's loss to Buffalo.
Taylor was second on the team with five targets, but he also lost a fumble on a low-volume passing day. The dynamic second-year receiver has the talent to make an impact, but he won't be a recommended fantasy option as long as he's not seeing significant playing time (46% of the snaps in Week 5). Keep Taywan on the bench or waiver wire heading into a matchup with the Ravens.
Taywan Taylor comes up big in overtime win over the Eagles.
Taylor caught seven passes for 77 yards in a 26-23 victory, with the highlight coming on fourth-and-15 with the game on the line, as he got open on the sideline for a 19-yard gain to vault Tennessee to their third win of the year. Now that Rishard Matthews is gone, the second-year receiver should be locked in as a starter for the Titans, and he has the talent to turn into a fantasy contributor for an offense that is still looking for playmakers. Taylor is worth picking up in all leagues ahead of a Week 5 matchup against the Bills.
Taywan Taylor catches four passes against the Jaguars.
Taylor was targeted a team-high five times in the Week 3 victory, gaining 30 yards on his four receptions. The second-year receiver has great playmaking ability, but he's not a reliable fantasy option at the moment. He might be able to get deep for a big play next week against the Eagles, though.
Taywan Taylor scores against the Texans.
Taylor took a quick screen for an 18-yard score, showing shifty moves and his great speed and acceleration on the play. Overall, the second-year receiver had three receptions for 32 yards and a touchdown. Taylor is a gamebreaker, so expect to see more of him moving forward. It's difficult to trust him in Week 3 fantasy lineups with a matchup against Jacksonville, though.
Taywan Taylor doesn't touch the ball in season opener.
Taylor was one of the stars of August and looked on his way to winning the No. 2 receiver job behind Corey Davis, but the new coaching staff has decided to go with Tajae Sharpe and Rishard Matthews over him. We would think Taylor eventually forces his way onto the field, but there are probably better options on the waiver wire to stash on your bench right now.
Taywan Taylor looks like "he could be a big factor this fall."
With Rishard Matthews (undisclosed injury) not on the field for the start of training camp, Taylor has stepped up as a top-two option for the Titans—and he's apparently taking advantage of it. Jim Wyatt of the team's official site says Taylor has "really emerged of late," working as an intermediate-to-deep target that's "made tough catches in tight coverage." According to some videos and reporters on the scene, Taylor has blown by defenders on deep routes. The 2017 third-round selection looks poised to be a top-three receiver on the Titans depth chart this season, and he'll have upside as a fantasy selection if his role is big enough.
Taywan Taylor catches one pass in playoff loss.
The rookie receiver gained five yards on his lone reception, catching a zig type of route that was stopped short of a first down. Entering his second year, Taylor, who was the 72nd pick in the draft, could have a much bigger role than he did this season. For now, he doesn't look like a recommended fantasy selection in 2018 fantasy drafts, though.
Taywan Taylor gets one touch in Titans' win.
Taylor had a four-yard reception in the first half of the Wild Card win against Kansas City. The rookie receiver's role isn't big enough for him to be a recommended fantasy playoff option next weekend.
Taywan Taylor gets one touch in Week 17.
Taylor had a five-yard carry on an end-around play against the Jaguars. The rookie receiver will look to make some big plays in the postseason now.
Taywan Taylor doesn’t catch a pass in Week 14.
The rookie receiver had one target against the Cardinals. He’s just a dynasty league option for now.
Taywan Taylor catches two passes versus the Texans.
The rookie receiver gained 15 yards on his two receptions. He'll chip in on offense, but Taylor's doesn't have a big enough role as a rookie to deliver solid fantasy value.
Taywan Taylor catches one pass in Week 12.
Taylor gained eight yards on his lone reception against the Colts. Given his role at the moment, Taylor is only a dynasty league option.
Taywan Taylor doesn't get a touchdown against the Steelers.
Taylor was targeted on time in the Thursday night loss, as the Titans didn't seem to have any plays to get the ball in his hands. Because he doesn't have a huge role yet, Taylor should only be on fantasy rosters in dynasty leagues.
Taywan Taylor gets three touches versus Cincinnati.
Taylor caught two of three targets for 34 yards, including a long of 20 yards, and added a four-yard carry in the Week 10 victory. The rookie receiver is an important part of the Titans offense, but he's not yet a reliable fantasy option.
Taywan Taylor catches one pass in Week 9.
The rookie's lone reception went for -4 yards. Taylor is only an option in dynasty leagues for now.
Taywan Taylor caught three passes for 45 yards in Sunday's win over the Browns.
Taylor continues to see meaningful playing time with Corey Davis out of the lineup, but the Titans have too many weapons to consider him as a fantasy option. Whether or not Davis returns after the Week 8 bye, Taylor is going to have a role against the Ravens.
Rookie Taywan Taylor scores first NFL touchdown in Titans' win.
The third-round rookie played a big role for the Titans against Indianapolis, catches two passes for 61 yards and a touchdown. The first reception for Taylor was a pop pass earlier in the game that went for eight yards. But the second was a 53-yard touchdown on an ultra-high corner route in the fourth quarter that put the Titans ahead for good. Taylor ran a great route that got him by first-round rookie safety Malik Hooker and allowed Marcus Mariota to deliver a perfect deep ball for the score. Taylor's role isn't big enough for him to be a reliable fantasy option, but it's good to see him making an impact like this in his rookie season.
Taywan Taylor gets one touch against the Dolphins.
Taylor received a carry and took it for five yards early in the game, but he didn't have any receptions. The Titans continue to try to get the ball in Taylor's hands at least once a game, but he's not a reliable fantasy option yet.
Taywan Taylor gets one touch in Week 4.
The rookie receiver had a six-yard carry and didn't catch his lone target. Taylor is only an option in dynasty leagues as of now.
Taywan Taylor gets three touches in Week 3.
The rookie receiver's role didn't appear to change too much with Corey Davis (hamstring) out. He had one carry for -1 yards and two receptions (on three targets) for 16 yards. Taylor is just a dynasty league option right now.
Taywan Taylor catches 42-yard pass in Week 2 win over the Jags.
It was his only reception, but the rookie also rushed twice for 16 yards. It's good to see the Titans getting the third-round pick involved, but he doesn't have a chance to be a reliable fantasy performer for as long as everyone's healthy. He can stay on the waiver wire with a date with Seattle in Week 3.
Taywan Taylor catches both targets in Week 1.
The third-round rookie receiver had two receptions for 14 yards against the Raiders. He doesn't have the right role to make a fantasy impact yet, but he'll be there eventually.
Taywan Taylor catches 48-yard pass in Titans' preseason game.
The rookie was used early and often in the game, getting three carries for 12 yards, including a toss when he lined up in the backfield—it's something we could see from the rookie receiver this year and beyond. Taylor also had a 48-yard reception on a seam route to convert a third-and-long for the Titans. He's intriguing in dynasty leagues, but probably won't be a reliable fantasy option this season.
Rookie Taywan Taylor leads Titans in receiving in preseason opener.
Taylor caught four-of-nine targets for 56 yards, including a long of 42. Taylor also had one carry for nine yards. On the 42-yard reception, he made a very nice leaping grab over a defender. He's behind Rishard Matthews, Eric Decker, and Corey Davis (who sat the game), but Taylor is someone to keep an eye on.
Rookie receiver Taywan Taylor has "gained the trust of the quarterbacks" already, according to Jim Wyatt of TitansOnline.com.
Wyatt writes for the team's official site and has presumably been to all the practices open to the media. He writes that the rookie Taylor "looks like a perfect fit in the slot" and was consistent throughout the spring. The addition of Eric Decker might hurt his snap count, but he should get some good playing time as a rookie; although he likely won't have a lot of fantasy value yet.
Titans rookie receiver Taywan Taylor has been lining up both inside and outside during rookie minicamp.
Taylor is looking to make an impact as a third round pick, and having the versatility to line up insde and outside should help him get on the field. Tajae Sharpe, Harry Douglas, and others are also in the mix, but Taylor has a chance of carving out a primary role in three wide receiver sets alongside Rishard Matthews and fellow rookie Corey Davis.
The Titans select Western Kentucky receiver Taywan Taylor with the 72nd pick in the 2017 NFL Draft.
Tennessee keeps adding to the receiving corps for Marcus Mariota. Taylor was very productive at Western Kentucky. During his final season, he caught 98 passes for 1,730 yards, and 17 touchdowns. He's a shifty player with the ball in his hands, and he'll likely compete for time in the slot as a rookie.
