WOLF SPORTS PROJECTION

Terry Godwin II | Free Agent WR

The Jaguars have waived Terry Godwin II.

Godwin II could be a candidate for the practice squad. The former Georgia standout hasn't gotten a shot in the regular season yet, but the talent is there for him to eventually work his way to an active roster.

The Jaguars signed Terry Godwin.

After he was drafted in the seventh round by the Panthers last season and then waived at final cuts, Godwin landed with Jacksonville and spent the season on the team's practice squad. It's a good sign that the Jaguars are bringing him back, and the Georgia product will look to win a roster spot this summer.

The Panthers waived Terry Godwin.

Godwin was just drafted in the seventh round this year at a spot we thought might have been a steal, and the Panthers will likely try to get him onto the practice squad. But other teams should be interested in at least adding Godwin to their own practice squads.

The Panthers have selected Georgia wide receiver Terry Godwin II in the seventh round of the 2019 NFL Draft.

It's a pretty big surprise that Godwin was still around here in the seventh round, so this is great value for the Panthers. This might not be a particularly exciting pick based on the numbers Godwin put up for the Bulldogs, but they had several NFL options that needed touches in a run-heavy offense. There probably isn’t WR1 upside for Godwin, but he’s a very smooth receiver that could eventually work his way into consideration for PPR owners if he can get on the field with Carolina at some point.
