Top Ten Tuesday: Greatest Heroes Of All-Time

The #WhiteWolfVillainBracket begins tonight, so in honor of that and last year’s inaugural bracket (#WhiteWolfHeroBracket), we are ranking the top ten heroes of all-time. Plenty of iconic protagonists don’t make the list, so feel free to leave your thoughts in the comments! [Note: there may be minor spoilers for some descriptions]

10. Robb Stark

Robb is one of the most beloved characters in Game of Thrones history, and he always tries to do the right thing—even if it’s to correct his own mistakes. There’s a reason they crowned him King in the North.

9. Rocky Balboa

Rocky Balboa has been an iconic hero for both sports and non-sports fans over the course of seven movies so far, as he’s the classic underdog turned champion.

8. John McClane

“Welcome to the party, pal.”

7. Wonder Woman

Gal Gadot has put Wonder Woman back on the map in the DCEU, but the Justice League member has always been a top-notch hero since being introduced in 1941.

6. Goku

Goku made a great run in last year’s #WhiteWolfHeroBracket all the way to the Final Four, and his only loss came at the hands of eventual-champion Batman. The Dragon Ball Z protagonist is always down for a fight, especially when the fate of the world is at stake.

5. Daenerys Targaryen

Dany has only been around since 2011 (the show version, anyway), but she’s quickly become an accomplished leader in both Essos and Westeros. Having three large dragons certainly helps, but she also rules with her own form of justice.

4. Han Solo

Luke Skywalker made it to the Final Four in last year’s bracket, but Han Solo also went pretty far, too. However, the events of Star Wars: The Last Jedi causes Luke to fall in our eyes, making Han Solo the only Star Wars character to appear on this list.

3. Superman

The Man of Steel could easily claim the top spot here, as everyone knows and loves the legendary DC Comics character. Except Doomsday. And some other bad guys.

2. Jon Snow

Perhaps no one on this list has been through more than Jon Snow, and he still has one more war to fight: The Great War.

1. Batman

Jon Snow definitely pushes for the top spot, but the Dark Knight was our #WhiteWolfHeroBracket champion and simply the best hero of all-time.
