Yesterday, we had our holiday gift guide focusing on electronics, which you can read here. With under a week until Christmas, today’s gift guide is not as in-depth but hits some of the hottest last-minute items to shop for this weekend.
Video Games
Parents, keep in mind new Xbox and PlayStation consoles will be out for Holiday 2020, so you may want to wait until then to make a console purchase for your kid. (But the Nintendo Switch is a timely purchase now.) However, for individual games, these are the most popular new video games out now:

Televisions
The best consumer television available, coming in 55-inch, 65-inch, and 77-inch, LG OLEDs delivers superb picture quality that blows away movie theater screens.
Sony positions itself as a premium, premium television via its massive price point. LG OLEDs are ultimately a better value and arguably have a better picture anyway, but there might be loyal Sony fans out there. Sony has a few options available, but the A9G is one of the company’s “MASTER” series offerings.
If OLEDs are not your thing for whatever reason, a QLED from Samsung might be the next best thing. The Samsung Q9F pairs nicely with an Xbox One X 4K console, but its blacks aren’t quite as impressive as an OLED.
Box sets
Enjoy a new television with some quality movies and television. You can always go the streaming route, but sometimes it’s worth it to own a physical copy of a classic.
Game of Thrones: The Complete Collection
If you are looking to find something for a huge Game of Thrones fan, look no further than The Complete Collection. It’s hard to imagine a box set being more beautifully crafted than this one, and it is 100% worth the money. Considering its size and heftiness, you’d probably stun anyone you gift this to, especially if they are unaware that The Complete Collection exists.

These are some of the top clothing items to target this holiday season as a last-minute gift. We went for simplicity and nothing too flashy in this section.
A nice pair of jeans can last a long time, and Levi’s are the perfect balance between quality and value. $100 jeans aren’t worth it when you can get a pair of Levi’s, which are just as good if not better than designer jeans, for a much better price. Denim jackets also appear to be coming back in style, particularly for the fall.
Nike is always popular, but Adidas gets the clear nod from us for best athletic apparel brands. A trademark three-stripe track jacket is a versatile top that can be used all year, no matter the weather.
Perhaps the most comfortable shoes available, Adidas UltraBoost are also stylish and from a reputable, world-popular brand. The previous UltraBoosts (one pair linked above) are still awesome if you can find a good size and color, but the UltraBoost 19 and brand-new UltraBoost 20 are the latest releases and look great.

We are waiting on the Sportsh to arrive, and this spot will be updated when they do. [UPDATE: The Sportsh did come, and they look very nice (it comes down to personal preference, but they look like something that could come from Nike, New Balance, etc.) and fit well.] The CamoX did arrive, and it is a nice-looking shoe with a legit steel toe capping off a design that is otherwise sock-like and easy to slip on. The fit was slightly off (wide around the ankle area), but Indestructible shoes are awesome for activities like paintball, and they are comfortable enough to slip on for a grocery trip.
Those in tough cold-weather environments like Buffalo and Chicago would probably love a new jacket to get through the winter. It gets pricey, but Canada Goose might be at the top of the list for warm parkas.
