Just a few days ago, on October 26, Microsoft announced a new member to its Surface family: The Surface Studio. Surprisingly, the Surface Studio the first ever desktop computer actually made by Microsoft—and it looks impressive. See for yourself:

The 28-inch screen of the Surface Studio has a beautiful 4500 x 3000 resolution, higher than 4K. Microsoft calls the display a “PixelSense Display.” The big display is also flexible, with Microsoft’s Zero Gravity Hinge, which allows the user to move and angle the screen to their desire.
The Surface Studio also has accessories, including the Surface Pen with 1,024 levels of sensitivity. They also have the $99.99 Surface Dial, which is free if you pre-order by December 1st. The Surface Dial is usable in apps including Microsoft Office applications, but looks most useful in drawing and sketching; overall, the Surface Dial is something that is going to help get work done more efficiently.
Other features of the Surface Studio are the 1080p camera for video chats, password-free sign-in with Windows Hello, and the ability to play Xbox games with up to four players. With a 28 inch, high resolution display it will definitely be sufficient for playing some Xbox, but it will also be good for watching television shows and movies.
Some people think of Microsoft as a bland company, but that could not be further from the truth. The Microsoft Surface Studio is a prime example of the creativity and innovation Microsoft pushes. Microsoft, and consumers, will be really happy that they entered the desktop computer party, even if it’s in 2016. By the early looks of it, Microsoft might actually be outdoing Apple when it comes to creativity.
The Microsoft Surface Studio will release this holiday season (12/15 for the first two models) and costs for three models are $2,999.00, $3,499.00, and $4,199.00.
