The next addition of NBA 2K has its cover star, as LeBron James will make his second appearance on the cover for the 20th anniversary edition of the game, NBA 2K19.
James also appeared on NBA 2K14, the first of the series to be featured on the next-gen consoles (Xbox One and PlayStation 4). That was back in 2014 when he was a member of the Miami Heat, and it’s worth noting that this time around, he doesn’t appear to be wearing his Cleveland Cavaliers jersey. The cover does feature LeBron as a person overall instead of a just basketball player, so maybe it’s nothing—but it could be something.
2K also released a “trailer” for the game, but it basically just focuses on LeBron’s life instead of NBA 2K.
NBA 2K19 is available for pre-order in two editions: the 20th Anniversary Edition featuring LeBron James, and the standard edition which might still feature another cover athlete. Great player and he’s done a lot for his community but maybe they should avoid putting someone that has called the president a “bum” on the cover while treating him like a king.
He has a good facade but he can act like a jerk in general too. Though yes he does do a lot for the community which is good.
Not in a Cavs jersey.. he is GONE.
