What Will Be The Best All-Time Teams In NBA 2K18?

2K Sports announced there will be all-time team rosters in NBA 2K18—an AWESOME addition to the game—and it brings up the question of who the best teams to use would be. These are my choices, and of course, people will have different opinions on who should be starting, what team a player should be on, etc., but feel free to leave your pick for best team in the comments!

San Antonio Spurs

PG: Tony Parker

SG: George Gervin

SF: Kawhi Leonard

PF: Tim Duncan

C: David Robinson

It’s hard to find a better frontcourt than Leonard/Duncan/Robinson, and the Spurs also have a 25 PPG scorer in the Iceman and Tony Parker in the starting lineup. With Manu Ginobili and Bruce Bowen off the bench, San Antonio is going to be fun to use in 2K18.

Detroit Pistons

PG: Isiah Thomas

SG: Joe Dumars

SF: Grant Hill

PF: Dennis Rodman

C: Bill Laimbeer

This might not be the most talented team on this list (compared to others), but if the all-time Pistons can’t beat the opposing team, they might end up fighting them instead.

Indiana Pacers

PG: Jalen Rose

SG: Reggie Miller

SF: Paul George

PF: Jermaine O’Neal

C: Rik Smits

Point guard and center are kind of weak for the Pacers, but giving Paul George a legend like Reggie Miller might have been able to keep him in Indiana. If PG13 wins a championship in OKC or LA, the Pacers would struggle to replace him on the all-time roster.

Boston Celtics

PG: Bob Cousy

SG: John Havlicek

SF: Larry Bird

PF: Kevin McHale

C: Bill Russell

In an all-time sports city competition, Boston might easily win. Here, they are undoubtedly a top-five team on both talent and how fun it is to use them. The Celtics will also have Paul Pierce leading a loaded bench.

Philadelphia 76ers

PG: Maurice Cheeks

SG: Allen Iverson

SF: Julius Erving

PF: Charles Barkley

C: Wilt Chamberlain

What the Sixers lack in point guard play, they more than make up for with frontcourt talent. The PF/C combination of Moses Malone and Joel Embiid off the bench should be a point of envy almost all 29 other NBA teams. Oh, yeah, they also have a pretty good starting frontcourt, plus Allen Iverson.

Los Angeles Lakers

PG: Magic Johnson

SG: Kobe Bryant

SF: Elgin Baylor

PF: James Worthy

C: Kareem Abdul-Jabbar

I can’t imagine the Lakers all-time team losing a seven-game series to anyone. I mean, Shaq doesn’t even start for them, and neither does the LOGO for the NBA in Jerry West.

Chicago Bulls

PG: Derrick Rose

SG: Michael Jordan

SF: Scottie Pippen

PF: Toni Kukoc

C: Artis Gilmore

You can’t have an all-time list without the GOAT. Michael Jordan and Scottie Pippen would have to carry the team, but they’ve done it before, and would have a prime, MVP-winning Derrick Rose on their side. A red-hot MJ might be the only thing that could knock off the Lakers squad.
