Travis Fulgham | Free Agent WR

The Lions have selected Old Dominion wide receiver Travis Fulgham in the sixth round of the 2019 NFL Draft.

Detroit doesn’t have much of a need at receiver after adding Danny Amendola to man the slot between Kenny Golladay and Marvin Jones, but don’t be surprised to see Fulgham work his way into a role, especially considering he is an excellent blocker. That said, fantasy owners should probably view him as more of a dynasty prospect than 2019 option.

Trayveon Williams | Bengals RB

The Bengals have selected Texas A&M running back Trayveon Williams in the sixth round of the 2019 NFL Draft.

Williams was a highly-productive player for Texas A&M the last three years, leaving school one season early but finishing with the third-most rushing yards in school history (3,615 yards). As a senior in the first season of Jimbo Fisher’s offense with the Aggies, Williams rushed for 1,760 yards and 18 touchdowns. That type of production is not easy in the SEC, and Williams has the ability to carve out a nice role on Sundays with the Bengals behind starter Joe Mixon. He might be more of a dynasty-league option than a redraft asset in 2019, but he might immediately be the clear No. 2 running back with Cincinnati, especially with 2018 fourth-round pick Mark Walton dealing with major off-field issues this offseason.

Gardner Minshew II | Chiefs QB

The Jaguars have selected Washington State quarterback Gardner Minshew II in the sixth round of the 2019 NFL Draft.

Minshew played two seasons at East Carolina State before deciding between Alabama and Washington State for his final college season. The Crimson Tide would have put him on a potential path to coaching, as he wouldn’t have played ahead of Tua Tagovailoa or Jalen Hurts; but instead he chose to give it a shot in Mike Leach’s offense, and it paid off with a great season in which he threw for 4,779 yards and 39 touchdowns (nine interceptions). The decision put Minshew in position to get selected in the draft, and now he’ll look to work his way into a starting role at some point. For this season, he’ll compete for the backup job behind Nick Foles.

Kaden Smith | Free Agent TE

The Niners have selected Stanford tight end Kaden Smith in the sixth round of the 2019 NFL Draft.

Smith has great size (six-foot-five, 255 pounds) for the tight end position, and he comes from a pro-style offense with David Shaw and Stanford. It’d be a major surprise if Smith becomes close to a 1,000-yard receiver in the NFL, but he could be a very good real-life contributor for San Francisco. He’s obviously off the fantasy radar right now with George Kittle as the top tight end for the Niners.

KeeSean Johnson | Free Agent WR

The Cardinals have selected Fresno State wide receiver KeeSean Johnson in the sixth round of the 2019 NFL Draft.

Johnson is not related to former No. 1 overall pick Keyshawn Johnson, but Arizona continues adding receivers after already selecting Andy Isabella (second round) and Hakeem Butler (fourth round). Fantasy value will definitely be difficult to come by for Johnson as a rookie, but once Larry Fitzgerald retires, he could potentially make an impact for a system that will often have four or five receivers on the field at once.

4/27/19 - 03:24 PM ET

Darius Slayton | Giants WR

The Giants have selected Auburn wide receiver Darius Slayton in the fifth round of the 2019 NFL Draft.

Slayton had an excellent pre-draft process with a 4.39 40-yard dash and 40.5-inch vertical, so the upside is clearly there on a roster that doesn’t have any real proven options behind Sterling Shepard and Golden Tate. For his career, Slayton averaged 20.3 yards per reception at Auburn, including five scores in each of the past two seasons. Fantasy owners should have him on their radar in dynasty leagues.

4/27/19 - 03:14 PM ET

Clayton Thorson | Giants QB

The Eagles have selected Northwestern quarterback Clayton Thorson in the fifth round of the 2019 NFL Draft.

Thorson was a four-year starter for Northwestern, so he has plenty of experience at six-foot-four, 222 pounds. Thorson didn’t put up outstanding numbers for the Wildcats (61 passing scores, 45 interceptions), with his best season coming his sophomore year (22 touchdowns, nine interceptions). Carson Wentz is obviously locked in as Philadelphia’s starter, but Thorson will look to become his team’s backup quarterback and potentially create trade value for himself before making his way to a team he might start for in a few years.
