Join now >The Eagles will not tag quarterback Nick Foles.
Eagles executive Howie Roseman said at his NFL Combine press conference that the team has decided to let Foles become an unrestricted free agent instead of placing the franchise tag and trading him. Deciding to move forward with Carson Wentz at quarterback, this is obviously the right move for the franchise to let their Super Bowl MVP simply walk and his the open market instead of limiting his options by placing the franchise tag on him—though the tag would’ve been costly and could have put the Eagles in a bind with the salary cap. Foles immediately becomes a hot commodity in free agency, with the Jaguars, Giants, and Redskins among the teams likely to be interested in signing him. He’ll obviously always remain a hero in Philadelphia.

The Titans cut Austin Davis, according to ESPN’s Field Yates.
Davis spent time with Tennessee as Marcus Mariota dealt with multiple elbow/neck issues during the season, so there’s a chance he returns at some point this offseason. If not, other teams should be interested in the 29-year-old quarterback.

The Vikings signed exclusive rights free agent C.J. Ham.
This is not a surprise. Expect Ham to be locked in as Minnesota’s fullback, paving the way for Dalvin Cook and working as an occasional underneath target for Kirk Cousins in 2019.

Cordarrelle Patterson caught two passes for 18 yards in Sunday night’s win over the Chiefs.
Patterson also had a quality kick return in the fourth quarter to set up a New England touchdown on their way to another Super Bowl appearance. The Patriots will hope their star returner can make an impact in a couple weeks against the Rams for what should be a shootout.

The Bengals have officially hired Zac Taylor as their head coach.
This has obviously been expected to happen for weeks, but the former Rams quarterbacks coach couldn’t be officially hired while the Rams continued on their run to the Super Bowl. It’s cool that Taylor, who played quarterback at the University of Nebraska, is getting the opportunity to coach a team that he apparently really wanted to coach. It’s unclear what quarterback Andy Dalton’s status is with Cincinnati, as Taylor might ultimately want to bring in his own guy at quarterback. This hiring is good news for running back Joe Mixon, as this Bengals offense could run a lot through the all-around playmaker that can do some of the things Todd Gurley has done in Los Angeles in Sean McVay’s offense. It’s a quick rise for Taylor, but the Bengals have some dynamic players on offense for the new young head coach to work with.

Demarcus Robinson catches one pass in AFC title game.
Robinson caught a 27-yard pass on a deep crossing route in the fourth quarter. It was a key reception late in the game to help the Chiefs force overtime, but the team ultimately fell in overtime against the Patriots. D-Rob is entering the final season of his rookie contract in 2019, and he’ll likely play out the deal as a reserve receiver with experience in the offsense for the Chiefs.

Chris Hogan held without a catch in Super Bowl LIII victory.
Hogan was targeted six times (third on the team), but he and Tom Brady couldn’t connect. Fortunately, a stout defensive performance by New England was enough to get a 13-3 win, as Julian Edelman (10/141) and Rob Gronkowski (6/87) were the only Patriots to have more than 15 receiving yards. Hogan will enter unrestricted free agency, so it will be interesting to see what the team does at receiver.
