Join now >The 49ers activated Jeff Wilson Jr. (knee) from the PUP list.
Wilson made quick progress in recent days, looked good in practice this week after returning, and might make his season debut tomorrow against the Cardinals. We’ll see what happens, but there’s been an indication that Wilson might be up for the game if Elijah Mitchell (rib) is inactive. The Niners play in the late-afternoon window, so be sure to have backup plans in mind for your Week 9 fantasy lineup if you are planning to use Wilson.

Sam Darnold has cleared the concussion protocol.
This is obviously a great sign, but Darnold remains questionable for tomorrow because of a shoulder injury. Hopefully fantasy owners aren’t relying on him (or P.J. Walker) in a difficult draw versus New England, but we’ll know the status by the morning for an early kickoff.

The Cowboys have placed Blake Jarwin (hip) on injured reserve.
Jarwin will miss at least three games, but it doesn’t sound like the injury will be a long-term issue. Dalton Schultz will remain a TE1 option in the high-powered Dallas offense.
11/6/21 - 04:09 PM ET
Marquez Valdes-Scantling (hamstring) has officially been activated from injured reserve.
MVS is back and will play tomorrow against the Chiefs after missing the past five games with his hamstring injury. The Packers are getting healthier all around on offense, but Aaron Rodgers (COVID-19 list) will miss tomorrow’s Week 9 matchup.
11/6/21 - 02:33 PM ET
George Kittle (calf) will be activated for Week 9.
Kittle missed the minimum three games while on injured reserve, as placing him on IR gave him the time he needed to heal up and get close to 100% for the second half of the season. You can immediately place Kittle back into fantasy lineups as a TE1.
11/5/21 - 04:27 PM ET
Justin Jackson (quad) has been ruled out for Week 9.
Jackson broke a big run last week, but he’s injured again, so the Chargers should have Joshua Kelley active and with a role this weekend in Philadelphia. The constant shuffling behind Austin Ekeler keeps any one runner from having significant handcuff appeal for Los Angeles.
11/5/21 - 04:13 PM ET
The Lions have waived Tyrell Williams.
Williams has been out with a concussion, but this is a bit of a surprise considering the lack of weapons for Detroit on the perimeter. Perhaps the Lions could be a surprise team for Odell Beckham Jr. with the highest priority on waivers. As for Williams, he shouldn’t have too much trouble finding a landing spot if healthy.
