Matt Breida (ankle) has been ruled out for the rest of today’s game.

Breida was injured early in the game and has now been ruled out early in the third quarter. Before leaving, Breida had four carries for 20 yards and one reception for six yards. Jeff Wilson Jr. could be set for a heavy workload in the second half against the Bears, but hopefully Breida is ready for Week 17. We expect he’ll make a strong push to play after pushing through many injuries this season.

Dante Pettis leaves game with apparent knee injury.

Pettis just had his knee twisted awkwardly, and he appeared to be in a lot of pain or discomfort. He’s currently being helped off the field by trainers, so the rookie receiver’s day appears to be done. Pettis had three receptions for 21 yards before leaving. Hopefully the injury isn’t too serious, but his Week 17 status looks to be in serious doubt, too.

Breida was just tackled around the ankle area against the Bears and was in a lot of pain. The second-year running back has battled ankle issues most of the season, and this looks like another re-aggravation. Don’t be surprised if he’s unable to return to today’s game, but we’ll update you as more information becomes available.

Deonte Thompson (toe) did not return against the Patriots.

Thompson’s game ended with one reception for 11 yards. After getting carted to the locker room, Thompson looks on the doubtful side of things for the season finale next week against Miami.

Cordarrelle Patterson (knee) did not return for the Patriots.

Patterson had four carries for 66 yards along with one reception for three yards in New England’s Week 16 win over Buffalo. The special teams ace remains a solid contributor on offense, but his Week 17 status is up in the air while dealing with this knee issue. The main concern for the Patriots is probably ensuring he’s good to go in January.

Tevin Coleman (groin) did not return to today’s game.

The Falcons were comfortably in the lead against the Panthers, so this wasn’t a surprise. Coleman’s Week 16 ends with ten carries for 51 yards. We’ll see if Coleman is ready to face the Bucs in Week 17, but keep in mind that he’s set to become an unrestricted free agent this offseason, so both sides might prefer a cautious approach.

Tevin Coleman (groin) is questionable to return against the Panthers.

The Falcons are up two touchdowns with under ten minutes remaining, so we don’t expect they’ll rush him back too quickly. We’ll update you as more information becomes available, though. Brian Hill will handle most of the backfield work with Coleman out.
