Patrick Mahomes | Chiefs QB

Patrick Mahomes, Chiefs lose on last-second touchdown by the Chargers.

Mahomes was 24/34 for 243 yards, two touchdowns, and zero interceptions, also adding two carries for three yards in a 29-28 loss. It looked like it was going to be another phenomenal performance by the golden-armed gunslinger as he threw a couple touchdowns in the first quarter to Demarcus Robinson (five yards) and Darrel Williams (11 yards), but the rest of Kansas City’s damage came on the ground, and Los Angeles ended up escaping Arrowhead Stadium with a win. Mahomes doesn’t get a cupcake matchup next week in Seattle for another primetime clash, but he obviously remains a top-end QB1 for the fantasy championship.

Jeff Wilson | Dolphins RB

Jeff Wilson Jr. gets 23 carries in Week 14.

Wilson gained 90 yards on his 23 attempts and added one reception for six yards against the Broncos. The undrafted rookie running back is basically a workhorse right now, and he’ll likely continue as such next week against the Seahawks if Matt Breida (ankle) remains out. Wilson just had 134 total yards against Seattle in Week 13, and he’ll be a good option for the second week of the fantasy playoffs.

12/10/18 - 12:12 PM ET

Virgil Green | Free Agent TE

Virgil Green catches two passes for nine yards in Week 15 win.

Green was targeted three times, but he mostly worked as a blocker with Antonio Gates (4/54) going for his second highest yardage total of the season. The veteran isn’t a recommended fantasy option.

12/13/18 - 11:58 PM ET

Jeff Driskel | Free Agent QB

Jeff Driskel, Bengals come up short in 26-21 loss to the Chargers.

Driskel was 18/27 for 170 yards, one touchdown, and zero interceptions, also adding two carries for 12 yards. The Bengals finally fed Joe Mixon (31 touches) in a near upset victory, and Driskel did well to take care of the ball, finding John Ross for a red zone score. Fantasy owners should look elsewhere down the stretch, but at least Andy Dalton’s replacement has kept the offense afloat for Cincinnati.

12/10/18 - 12:12 PM ET

Antonio Gates | Retired TE

Antonio Gates caught four passes for 54 yards in Thursday night’s win over the Chiefs.

Hunter Henry has obviously been effective all season for the Chargers, but Gates played well in a huge victory as he moved the chains, including twice on a touchdown drive in the fourth quarter. Gates won’t be a recommended TE2 option next week against the Ravens.

12/13/18 - 11:56 PM ET

Nick Mullens | Jaguars QB

Nick Mullens goes over 300 yards with two scores in Week 14.

Mullens was 20/33 for 332 yards, two touchdowns, and one interception against the Broncos. The interception wasn’t really on him, as it probably should have been caught by Trent Taylor over the middle but was instead popped into the air for a turnover. The first score was to a wide-open George Kittle (who had 210 of Mullen’s yards) on an 85-yarder on a corner route where the second-year tight end showed his very good speed to get into the end zone. The second was to Dante Pettis on a fade where Pettis had a great move at the line of scrimmage to get wide-open for six. Mullens now has 746 passing yards and four touchdowns the last two weeks, but he’s still difficult to trust in the fantasy playoffs.

12/10/18 - 12:10 PM ET

Tyrell Williams | Free Agent WR

Tyrell Williams caught six passes for 71 yards in Thursday night’s win over Kansas City.

Williams led the team with 12 targets as Keenan Allen (hip) left the game in the first half, but it was Mike Williams (7/76/2) that played the hero. The Chargers might be without Allen in Week 16, so Tyrell would be worth considering in all leagues as a solid FLEX despite a difficult draw against the Ravens.
