Join now >Kerryon Johnson (knee) officially did not practice today.
It’s only Wednesday, but this isn’t a great start to the week for the rookie running back. Johnson is still considered week-to-week until he gets back on the practice field in at least a limited capacity.

The Broncos claimed Andre Holmes, according to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport.
This comes just a couple hours after Emmanuel Sanders suffered what is believed to be a torn Achilles, so the veteran Holmes could be set for a big role quickly in Denver’s offense. Holmes is not a recommended fantasy pickup yet, though.

Keke Coutee (hamstring) was limited in today’s practice.
Coutee remains day-to-day with his hamstring injury, so he should be considered 50/50 for Week 14 against the Colts at this point.
12/5/18 - 04:09 PM ET
Sterling Shepard (rib) was limited in today’s practice.
Shepard battled through the rib injury suffered last Sunday against the Bears, but he might not be a lock for Week 14. Check back in on his practice status the next two days.
12/5/18 - 04:03 PM ET
Evan Engram (hamstring) was limited in today’s practice.
This is a fine start to the week for Engram, but we’ll track his status the next two days as he looks to get on the field to start the final quarter of the season.
12/5/18 - 04:02 PM ET
Joe Mixon (foot) was limited in today’s practice.
Mixon is thought to be fine, but we’ll track his status the next couple of days to ensure he’s ready to go for Week 14 against the Chargers.
12/5/18 - 03:30 PM ET
Jaylen Samuels says he and Stevan Ridley will split time in Week 14.
This was expected, but it’s good to get some confirmation that this is how the running backs will be used on Sunday against Oakland. There’s always the chance one of the guys separated and ends up getting most of the work, but expect a split backfield for the Steelers during James Conner’s absence. Samuels is the preferred fantasy option for the first week of the fantasy playoffs, but keep in mind that Ridley has excelled at the goal-line in his career and could get the carries there.
