He also rushed once for a loss of five yards on a busted trick play. Crowder hadn’t been on the field for nearly two months, but he returned in his usual role. However, Colt McCoy (leg) is now done for the year, so Washington’s passing attack will have a lower floor and ceiling the rest of the way as Mark Sanchez—with little experience as a Redskin—takes over as the starter. Crowder won’t be a strong play next week against the Giants.

Chris Thompson handles six touches in return to the lineup.
Thompson rushed three times for three yards and caught three-of-five targets for 18 yards in the loss. Washington’s receiving back didn’t have much room to run, but he was brought down on a shoelace tackle in the second half that might have been a touchdown—thanks to a trick play pass from Jordan Reed across the field—with plenty of green grass in front of him. Thompson needs to be a factor down the stretch for the 6-6 Redskins to make a playoff run, but he’s unlikely to be a significant fantasy contributor with Mark Sanchez at the controls.

Darren Sproles scores in return to the field.
In Sproles’ first game since Week 1 after missing the last ten games with a hamstring issue, he had four carries for 22 yards and a touchdown. The score was a 14-yarder on a delayed handoff where Sproles showed his patience and burst while finishing the run strong. Sproles also returned punts for the Eagles, and he appears to be basically 100%, which is great to see. Sproles might deliver some FLEX value in deeper leagues to open the fantasy playoffs next week against Dallas.

Corey Clement gets eight touches in Week 13.
Clement carried five times for 27 yards and caught three passes for 47 yards against the Redskins. The second-year running back showed his great burst and ability to pick up positive yardage throughout the game, but unfortunately he’s not getting enough touches in the Eagles backfield. It’s difficult to trust Clement in fantasy lineups given his workload.

Adrian Peterson rushes for career-high 90-yard touchdown in Week 13 loss.
Peterson, who surprisingly had never before ran for a score of 90+ yards in college or the NFL, tied Jim Brown for fifth on the all-time rushing touchdown list (106) on the play, which he simply took up the gut and outran Philly defenders for six. AD finished with nine carries for 98 yards in the loss, and he will have the offense on his back down the stretch with Mark Sanchez under center as the team’s No. 3 quarterback. Consider Peterson a quality FLEX option next week against the Giants.
12/3/18 - 11:21 PM ET
Josh Adams gets 20 carries against the Redskins.
Adams gained 85 yards on his 20 attempts in tonight’s win, working as the clear lead ball-carrier ahead of Corey Clement, Darren Sproles, and Wendell Smallwood. The undrafted rookie was stuffed at the goal line on a questionable fourth-down play call in the first half, but he ran well overall and picked up positive yardage when he received good blocking. Adams, who entered the game with a hip injury but was no-doubt going to play, appeared to grab at his hip a few times throughout the game, but it didn’t appear to limit him much. He’ll be in the FLEX mix as a potential 20-carry guy next week against the Cowboys.

Mark Sanchez enters game in relief of Colt McCoy (leg) in Monday Night Football loss.
Sanchez was 13/21 for 100 yards, zero touchdowns, and one interception, also adding an eight-yard rush. Though in the Redskins building for just two weeks, Sanchez was forced into action as McCoy unfortunately broke his leg in the first half, and it was clear that he didn’t have close to a full grasp of Jay Gruden’s offense. Washington is now 6-6 and could face long playoff odds down to their third quarterback, but Sanchez has won big games in his career, so perhaps he will be able to pickup a victory next Sunday against the Giants. The former No. 5 overall pick won’t be a recommended fantasy option down the stretch.
