Join now >Steelers head coach Mike Tonkin said that James Conner suffered a lower leg contusion in Week 13.
The injury forced Conner to limp to the locker room and not return, but it didn’t look to be an overly serious issue. Perhaps the Pitt product will miss time, but if it comes down to pain tolerance, fantasy owners might have him out there for Week 14 against the Raiders. We’ll keep you updated, but Jaylen Samuels is worth a pickup in all leagues for now.

Ryan Switzer did not return to Sunday night’s loss to the Chargers.
Switzer took a hit to the head and entered the concussion protocol, catching two passes for nine yards before leaving. Pittsburgh’s primary punt returner will hopefully be cleared before Week 14 against the Raiders.

James Conner did not return to Sunday night’s loss against the Chargers.
Conner left the game in the fourth quarter with an apparent lower leg injury and had to be helped into the locker room. Before leaving, he rushed 15 times for 60 yards and two scores while adding three receptions for 14 yards. We should know the severity of Conner’s injury as early as tomorrow, but hopefully it’s nothing that will keep him out for an extended period of time. The Steelers take on the Raiders next Sunday.

Ryan Switzer is in concussion protocol.
Switzer took a big helmet-to-helmet hit late in the fourth quarter against the Chargers. He appeared to be lobbying to get back in the game at first, but he’s now officially in the protocol and might have a tough time returning to this game. We’ll update you as more information becomes available.

James Conner leaves game with apparent ankle injury.
Conner had his ankle/foot area rolled up on during a reception late in the fourth quarter against the Chargers, and he’s currently getting helped off the field with a pretty bad limp. Hopefully this injury isn’t too serious, but we’ll update you as more information becomes available.

Justin Hunter leaves game with apparent hand injury.
Hunter landed awkwardly at the end of a lunging attempt for a would-be touchdown, and he looked to head to the locker room immediately after. It may have also been a shoulder injury. We’ll see if he can return, but Hunter had been working as the team’s No. 3 receiver before leaving.

Chris Carson dislocated his finger.
Carson received stitches, but he’s fine and his status for Week 14 is not in any doubt. The bruising second-year running back gets a tough matchup against the Vikings for the first week of the fantasy playoffs.
