Join now >Jay Gruden believes Chris Thompson (ribs) will play on Monday night.
Gruden says “when you watch him run there is no issue. I think he’ll be fine.” Thompson himself has said he’s feeling better after so much time off (he’s missed the last four games and six games total this season), so expect him to be back in a big matchup against the Eagles. We’ll let you know if Thompson is listed with an injury designation when the final Week 13 injury report is released on Saturday.

Devin Funchess (back) was limited in today’s practice.
Funchess did not practice yesterday, but he was also listed as “Non Injury Related” in addition to the back. It’s a good sign that he was at least out there for todays’ practice, and we’ll let you know his official Week 13 game status when it’s released tomorrow. He’s probably trending towards a questionable tag, but the Panthers play in the 1:00 PM ET games, which is a plus.

Sammy Watkins (foot) is again not practicing.
We’ll see what happens tomorrow when the final Week 13 injury report is released, but Watkins might be a risky fantasy option even if he plays, as he’s clearly not at 100% right now. Hopefully things change, but don’t count on being able to use Watkins in fantasy lineups this week.

Josh McCown (back/hand) was limited in today’s practice.
McCown is probably fine, but his injuries are worth noting with Sam Darnold inching closer to a return from his foot injury. Check back in tomorrow for the official Week 13 game statuses for the two quarterbacks.

Sam Darnold (foot) remained limited in today’s practice.
Darnold says he’s hopeful he can play Sunday against the Titans, and he looks to have a decent shot at playing. We’ll see how the rookie quarterback is listed on the final Week 13 injury report when it’s released sometime tomorrow.

The Bears are planning on starting Chase Daniel in Week 13, according to NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo.
Mitchell Trubisky (right shoulder) was limited in yesterday’s practice, which is a good sign, but Chicago appears to be playing it safe with their franchise quarterback. It’s probably the smart move to avoid any long-term or further issues to his important throwing arm, and it probably helps that the Bears are 8-3 and in good playoff position with a matchup against a three-win Giants team. Daniel is a QB2 option for Week 13, and we expect Trubisky will be ready to go for Week 14’s big Sunday night matchup against the Rams. We’ll update you if anything changes on Trubisky’s status today or tomorrow ahead of the final injury report being released.

The Seahawks officially activated J.D. McKissic to the 53-man roster.
This was expected to happen, and now it’s official. McKissic joins a crowded backfield, but he could immediately have a role as a versatile player that can also play some receiver. He’s not a recommended fantasy pickup at the moment, though.
