Join now >Anthony Miller is taking a physical with the Steelers.
Miller appeared set to sign with the Jaguars practice squad, but with an open spot on the 53-man roster for Pittsburgh after JuJu Smith-Schuster’s shoulder injury, it appears Miller is set to join an active roster instead. The former second-round pick is a very intriguing potential slot option, and he’s someone to watch in both redraft and dynasty leagues.

The Eagles release Travis Fulgham from the practice squad.
We’ll see where the fan-favorite lands, but he’s off the redraft radar for now.

Miles Boykin is being activated from injured reserve.
First-round pick Rashod Bateman will be at least another week, but Boykin should make his season debut tonight, and he’ll slide in as depth behind Marquise Brown and Sammy Watkins. The former Notre Dame standout is still worth investing in for dynasty owners in particular; it’ll be interesting to see how playing time is divided when everyone is healthy.

Clyde Edwards-Helaire suffered an MCL sprain.
Overall, this is good news for Edwards-Helaire, as at least it’s not a season-ender. CEH is set to miss a few weeks with the MCL sprain, so expect him to be placed on injured reserve (forcing him to miss at least three games) soon. Darrel Williams and Jerick McKinnon will lead the Kansas City backfield while Edwards-Helaire is out.

Samaje Perine has been placed on the reserve/COVID-19 list.
The placement on the list this early in the week is a good sign for his chances of suiting up in Week 6, but it’s unfortunate with Perine coming off one of the best games of his career. Ideally, the Bengals will get Joe Mixon more practice time this week to have close to a full workload as he manages his ankle injury.

Quintez Cephus suffered a broken collarbone.
Cephus is obviously headed to injured reserve and will miss several weeks. The Wisconsin product has stepped up and become an explosive target for Jared Goff and the Lions passing attack in need of weapons on the outside, so this is a tough blow to Detroit. Hopefully Cephus is feeling better soon and can return later this season.

JuJu Smith-Schuster (shoulder) is done for the season, according to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport.
The decision was made last night for Smith-Schuster to have surgery, and his year is now done. It’s an unfortunate break after JuJu returned to Pittsburgh on a one-year deal (and reportedly turned down an offer from the Chiefs), but his season ends with 15 receptions for 129 yards, and he also rushed three times for nine yards and a score. The Steelers will now count on James Washington to step up as the No. 3 wideout behind Diontae Johnson and Chase Claypool; we think he will be more than up for the challenge. As for Smith-Schuster, he is at least not dealing with a lower-body injury, but this news could still hurt his stock in 2022 free agency.
