Join now >The Jaguars are signing Anthony Miller to their practice squad, according to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport.
The expectation is that Miller will be promoted when he gets into the swing of things with Jacksonville, and we’d say he has a definite shot to be the No. 3 wideout behind Marvin Jones and Laviska Shenault Jr. with D.J. Chark (ankle) out. Significant redraft value is unlikely this year on an offense that spreads the ball around, but Miller’s talent is worth stashing in dynasty leagues.

JuJu Smith-Schuster (shoulder) might miss the rest of the season.
According to Gerry Dulac of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, the Steelers are “fearful” this will be a season-ending injury for Smith-Schuster. JuJu is set to go on injured reserve, but he’ll miss much more than the minimum three weeks. This is really unfortunate for a player that re-signed with Pittsburgh on a one-year deal and was looking to cash in as a free agent this offseason. James Washington will step up into a bigger role along with Diontae Johnson and Chase Claypool at receiver for the Steelers.

Clyde Edwards-Helaire leaves game with apparent leg injury.
Edwards-Helaire had his leg twisted under him and was on the ground in obvious pain, slamming it with his fist. CEH was basically carried off the field by his teammates. Hopefully it’s not too serious and Edwards-Helaire was more scared/upset by his leg getting twisted than anything, but the second-year running back’s night might be over. Before leaving, he had seven carries for 13 yards and one reception for 11 yards against the Bills.

Derek Carr leaves game.
[UPDATE: Carr has returned after a few plays.] Carr was injured on a quarterback sneak, and he was down on the field for a while before going to the sideline and into the blue medical tent. Nathan Peterman is now in the game for the Raiders down 14-3 to the Bears.

Kenny Golladay (knee) has been ruled out for the rest of today.
The hits keep coming for the Giants, who are now down Daniel Jones, Saquon Barkley, and Golladay for the second half against the Cowboys. Golladay did not have any catches in the first half before leaving the game.

Maxx Williams gets carted off against the 49ers.
Williams suffered an apparent leg injury on a second-quarter reception, and unfortunately it looks like his day is certainly done. A bunch of players from both teams went over to Williams while he was on the cart and offered in well wishes. Williams has been a key contributor in Kliff Kingsbury’s offense early this season.

Daniel Jones leaves Week 5 game against the Cowboys.
Jones was trying to run it in by the goal line and unfortunately got up wobbly. He’s headed off the field and will now obviously be in the NFL’s concussion protocol. We’ll let you know if anything changes, but it’s difficult to see Jones returning to today’s game. Saquon Barkley (ankle) has already been ruled out for the rest of the game. Before leaving, Jones was 5/13 for 98 yards along with three carries for nine yards.
