Join now >Gerald Everett has been placed on the reserve/COVID-19 list.
Whether or not he is vaccinated, Everett is now unlikely to suit up in Week 4 based on how the process has played out for other players, so look for Will Dissly to step into an expanded role. Seattle could also get Colby Parkinson (foot) back ahead of a big NFC West clash with the 49ers.

James White (hip) is likely done for the season, according to ESPN.
The injury—which he was carted off with in Week 3—is expected to end the veteran’s season after further evaluation, which is obviously an unfortunate break for the 29-year-old and New England’s offense in general. Through three games this season, White has rushed ten times for 38 yards and a touchdown, also adding 12 receptions for 94 yards. This news should lead to more receiving work for Damien Harris, and we could also see J.J. Taylor have a decent role as a pass-catching complement. Plus, Brandon Bolden is a trusted option, and rookie Rhamondre Stevenson should again be active on game days. We’re wishing all the best to White in his recovery ahead of hitting free agency again in 2022.

Jeff Smith is in the concussion protocol.
Smith was injured in a car crash before practice today, so hopefully everything ends up OK. The wideout could have a difficult time getting cleared for Week 4.

Tee Higgins (shoulder) will not play on Thursday night.
Higgins is making progress with his shoulder injury, but it’s not surprising that he’ll miss Week 4 given the short week. This is Higgins’ second consecutive missed game.

N’Keal Harry (shoulder) has been designated to return from injured reserve.
Harry has returned to practice, so he could make his season debut as soon as Sunday night, especially since his conditioning should be good coming off an upper-body injury. The former first-round pick may have a situational role on offense, which would mostly project to impact Kendrick Bourne’s snaps behind Nelson Agholor and Jakobi Meyers.

The Giants designated John Ross (hamstring) for return from injured reserve.
Ross can now return to Giants practice and has three weeks to be activated and re-join the active roster. New York is banged up at receiver, so the deep threat is someone to keep an eye on in deeper leagues in particular.
9/29/21 - 11:44 AM ET
Curtis Samuel (groin) is returning to practice.
Washington now has three weeks to activate Samuel off of injured reserve, which is fully expected to happen. The Football Team has an open roster spot now, so perhaps Samuel will be activated later this week ahead of Sunday against the Falcons.
