Jack Doyle | Retired TE

Jack Doyle (hip) has been ruled out for Week 5.

Doyle did not practice this week and does not seem particularly close to a return, but we’ll track his status next week leading up to the Colts’ Week 6 game against the Jets. Eric Ebron will be the clear top tight end for Andrew Luck for the third straight game, and he’s a backend TE1 for Week 5.

10/3/18 - 03:41 PM ET

Marlon Mack | Free Agent RB

Marlon Mack (hamstring) has been ruled out for Week 5.

Mack was limited in practice all week, but the Colts are not rushing him into action for tomorrow night against New England. Rookie Jordan Wilkins will draw another start for the Colts, and he’s in the FLEX conversation for the matchup—though Nyheim Hines is the preferred option in both standard and PPR leagues.

10/3/18 - 03:40 PM ET

T.Y. Hilton | Free Agent WR

T.Y. Hilton (chest/hamstring) has been ruled out for tomorrow night’s game.

Hilton has been unable to practice this week, so the Colts went ahead and ruled him out ahead of their Thursday night matchup with the Patriots. This obviously makes things more difficult for Andrew Luck in a game the offense might have to score a lot of points to keep up with Tom Brady and the Patriots in Foxboro. Ryan Grant and Chester Rogers will step up as the top two receivers in Hilton’s absence, but neither is a highly-recommended fantasy option. Consider Hilton week-to-week and questionable to face the Jets in Week 5.

10/3/18 - 03:36 PM ET

Cody Latimer | Free Agent WR

Cody Latimer (knee) was limited in practice.

This isn’t a bad start to the week for Latimer, but ideally he’ll get up to a full practice session tomorrow or Friday.

10/3/18 - 03:18 PM ET

Sterling Shepard | Buccaneers WR

Sterling Shepard (back) did not practice today.

Shepard has a procedure to remove a cyst from his back, and he’s likely to miss tomorrow’s practice too. However, Giants head coach Pat Shurmur says he thinks Shepard will be ready to go for Sunday against the Panthers. We’ll update you with the third-year receiver’s status throughout the rest of the week.

10/3/18 - 03:17 PM ET

Curtis Samuel | Bills WR

Curtis Samuel (medical illness) was a full participant in today’s practice.

Samuel missed Carolina’s first three games of the season after a procedure to fix an irregular heartbeat, but he’s ready to go with the team coming off the bye. The 2017 second-round pick will deliver more explosiveness on offense, so his presence is a boost for Cam Newton and company. Samuel is worth a speculative pickup in deeper leagues, and it’ll be interesting to see how he’s used this Sunday and beyond.

10/3/18 - 03:14 PM ET

Mo Alie-Cox | Colts TE

The Colts have waived Mo Alie-Cox.

Erik Swoope is being promoted to the active roster, and Alie-Cox is being waived in a corresponding move. Alie-Cox will likely land on the Colts practice squad if no other team picks him up.
