Join now >Andy Dalton is dealing with a bone bruise in his knee, according to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport.
The MRI confirms the injury and is good news with the initial thought being something more serous was possible. Dalton at less than 100% ahead of a tough matchup versus Cleveland might give Chicago reason to play Justin Fields in Week 3—though the team has said Dalton is their starter, and it’d be a difficult environment for the rookie’s first career start. Due to the rushing upside, Fields is worth a speculative add on the waiver wire in redraft leagues where he is available.

The Browns are releasing Davion Davis, according to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport.
Davis was suspended for the first two games of the season, but he will now hit waivers, and we are guessing there is a chance he stays in Cleveland via the practice squad. The team could be without Jarvis Landry (knee) for a few weeks, and Odell Beckham Jr. has yet to make his season debut.

Will Fuller (personal) has returned to the team and is set to make his season debut in Week 3.
Fuller’s return comes at a good time with the offense needing some added pop heading into a matchup against the Raiders, and he should immediately step into the starting lineup alongside DeVante Parker and Jaylen Waddle. There might be some quiet games, but Fuller should be on the radar as a high-upside FLEX option most weeks.

Tua Tagovailoa (rib) is day-to-day.
This is according to head coach Brian Flores, and it’s obviously a best-case scenario after Tagovailoa was carted off yesterday considering his history with the hip injury suffered at Alabama. There seems to be a decent possibility that Tua will be able to face the Raiders this weekend, though Miami might want to give him a week to rest against a defense that’s been very aggressive.

James O’Shaughnessy (ankle) is out for a few weeks.
O’Shaughnessy went down yesterday, and his absence will create opportunities for Chris Manhertz, rookie Luke Farrell, and Jacob Hollister. Jacksonville needs to get the passing attack—and offense in general—going this week against the Cardinals.

Laviska Shenault Jr.’s shoulder injury is “minor”.
[UPDATE: Shenault is expected to play in Week 3, according to head coach Urban Meyer.] ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler says that after the MRI, Shenault’s injury “turned out to be minor.” We’ll see if a more definite timeline on Shenault’s status pops up soon, but he might have a shot to play in Week 3.

Jarvis Landry is dealing with a sprained MCL.
Fortunately, it’s just a minor sprain, so Landry is considered week-to-week and might not even need to be placed on injured reserve. If teammate Odell Beckham Jr. is unable to make his season debut in Week 3, Cleveland will likely use a heavy dose of the running backs and tight ends against Chicago.
