Join now >Roc Thomas gets one carry in Week 4.
The undrafted rookie running back received his first career carry in the loss to the Rams, gaining four yards. He was also targeted on a pass in the flat late in the game, and it looked like pass interference could have been called. Thomas is just a very deep dynasty-league option for now.

Alshon Jeffery (illness, shoulder) is listed as questionable for Sunday.
Jeffery progressed to a full practice participant earlier in the week, but an illness impacted things and could potentially keep him out of this week’s game against the Titans if the team doesn’t feel he’s gotten enough full reps in practice yet. We think Jeffery will be ready to go, though, and the Eagles play at 1:00 PM ET, so his status will be known by noon on Sunday.

Jared Goff, Rams explode in shootout victory over the Vikings on Thursday Night Football.
In a 38-31 win, Goff completed 26/33 passes for 465 yards, five touchdowns, and zero interception, also adding two rushes for seven yards. The scoring got started with an eight-yard touchdown throw to Todd Gurley in the first quarter, and then Goff completely took over the game in the second quarter with dimes to Cooper Kupp from 70 yards and 19 yards out before another to Brandin Cooks on a 47-yard score. In the third quarter, Goff’s final touchdown throw came on another strike to Robert Woods from 31 yards away. Overall, it was arguably the performance of the year by a quarterback, as the former No. 1 overall pick dropped dime after dime on his way to a TNF record for passing yards and tying the Rams franchise record for passing touchdowns. At the quarter mark of the season, Goff is on pace for 5,624 yards, 44 touchdowns, and eight interceptions despite a tough schedule with games against the Cardinals, Chargers, and Vikings. He is arguably a top-five option the rest of the way, including next Sunday against the Seahawks.

Devonta Freeman (knee) has been ruled out for Week 4.
Freeman is making progress and returned to practice on a limited basis this week, but the team decided to rule him out ahead of the weekend. It’ll be Tevin Coleman again leading the backfield against the Bengals, with rookie Ito Smith mixing in. Coleman is an RB1 option while Smith is in the FLEX conversation for deeper leagues. This will be Freeman’s third missed game, but he looks to have a good shot at playing in Week 5 against the Steelers; and Atlanta’s offense has been clicking in his absence after struggling in the opener, so he’ll likely be joining a group that’s humming when he returns.

Dalvin Cook gets ten touches against the Rams.
Dealing with a hamstring injury coming into the night, Cook started the game and looked good on the first drive. But he couldn’t get much going after that, and Minnesota relied on the passing attack in a shootout with the Rams. Cook ended up with ten carries for 20 yards and didn’t receive a ton of playing time when the game got going. The second-year back was reportedly on a pitch count, and perhaps it was ten carries; it just didn’t equate to a startable fantasy performance. Cook will take the mini bye to get ready for a difficult matchup against the Eagles in Lincoln Financial Field.

LeSean McCoy (rib) is officially listed as questionable for this week.
McCoy had said earlier this week that he would be playing this Sunday against the Packers, but he’s officially listed as questionable. Keep in mind, there is no “probable” tag, which is what McCoy would likely be listed at if the NFL still had that injury designation. The questionable is probably just to note that McCoy is less than 100%, but we expect he’ll be active. McCoy’s official game status will be known by 11:30 AM ET on Sunday.
9/28/18 - 01:16 PM ET
Kirk Cousins throws for 400+ yards and three touchdowns but the Vikings fall to 1-2-1.
On the first drive of the game, Cousins led Minnesota down the field on a balanced offensive drive capped by a touchdown to new receiver Aldrick Robinson over Marcus Peters. From then on, it was an absolute shootout led by the arms of Cousins and the Rams’ Jared Goff. Cousins was 36/50 for 422 yards and three touchdowns along with four carries for 28 yards, but he lost a fumble on a strip sack with the Vikings down by seven with under two minutes remaining in the game after he didn’t step up in the pocket. Overall, Cousins was very accurate throughout the night, connecting with nine different receivers while trying to keep up with the Rams. Next week at Philadelphia is an extremely difficult matchup, but Cousins has enough weapons that it keeps him in the QB1 mix for Week 5—though there is single-digit-point downside to putting him in fantasy lineups for the matchup.
