Join now >Pete Carroll says Doug Baldwin may be out a couple of weeks.
Carroll denied to confirm the rumors of a potential tear for Baldwin, but he sounds optimistic that his top receiver won’t miss too much time. Expect Baldwin to be out for Week 2 against the Bears, but there’s probably a chance he can return sometime this month. Hopefully the Seahawks give a clearer timetable for Baldwin’s return, which they have not done to this point.

The Colts waived Erik Swoope.
Swoope was in a crowded depth chart with the Colts, so he didn’t have much fantasy value. The 26-year-old should receive interest from other teams relatively soon.

The Patriots are signing Kenjon Barner, according to multiple reports.
Barner worked out for the team last week, and now he’s signing after a season-ending knee injury suffered by Jeremy Hill—along with the release of receivers Riley McCarron and Chad Hansen. McCarron was the primary punt returner for the Pats to open the year, and Barner seems like a perfect fit for the role, which he did well for the Eagles last season. Barner is not a fantasy option quite yet, but he’s someone to keep an eye on.

Sony Michel (knee) remains limited in practice.
Limited practices might not be enough for the rookie running back to make his NFL debut, but we’ll see how he’s listed on the official injury report for the game tomorrow. If teammate Rex Burkhead isn’t cleared from concussion protocol, it might make Michel a necessary active on Sunday regardless if he becomes a full practice participant, though.

Jordy Nelson catches three passes in Raiders debut.
Nelson was targeted four times against the Rams, gaining 23 yards ons his three receptions. This matchup was about as tough as it gets to open the season—and Jared Cook (180 yards) and Jalen Richard (55 yards) were the focus of the passing game—so the veteran receiver should find more room to navigate in Week 2 against the Broncos.

Rex Burkhead (concussion) was limited in practice.
This is a positive sign, as Burkhead is making progress in the concussion protocol. He still needs to get fully cleared, and has a few days to do so before the game on Sunday. Obviously the Patriots aren’t going to jeopardize his health if he isn’t ready (and they aren’t allowed to anyway because of the concussion protocol), but they could really use him with Jeremy Hill on injured reserve and Sony Michel looking 50/50 at best. We’ll update you with Burkhead’s official game injury designation tomorrow.

The Packers placed Trevor Davis (hamstring) on injured reserve.
The 2016 fifth-round pick appeared in all 16 games last season, working as a reserve situational deep threat. Now, his 2018 season looks to be over after appearing in no games. It’s unlikely the Packers bring Davis off injured reserve after eight weeks.
