Join now >Mitchell Trubisky plays well in Week 1 loss.
The Bears started hot under new head coach Matt Nagy, going right down the field for a touchdown on their first offensive drive of the game, with Trubisky punching it in on a zone-read. Overall, Trubisky was 23/35 for 171 passing yards along with seven carries for 32 rushing yards and one rushing touchdown. He also lost a fumble in the game. The passing stats aren’t great, but Trubisky played better than those stats indicate, as he showed solid accuracy in and out of the pocket while showing great mobility and ability to throw on the run. He’ll face the Seahawks next Monday night.

Ian Thomas caught two passes for four yards in Carolina’s win over the Cowboys.
Thomas got his first reception out of the way in his NFL debut, and he could soon be making his first career start with Greg Olsen (foot) in a walking boot and on crutches. The third-round pick is suddenly on the fantasy radar in redraft leagues and could work his way to TE1 value as a rookie.

Torrey Smith catches one pass in Panthers debut.
It went for 15 yards. Smith is currently locked in as a starter for Carolina, but he isn’t a recommended fantasy option, and D.J. Moore could push him out of the starting lineup as the season progresses.
9/10/18 - 01:43 PM ET
Jarius Wright looks good in Week 1 win.
Operating as the starting slot receiver in Norv Turner’s offense, Wright caught three passes for 23 yards. The veteran didn’t need to do much in a low-volume passing attack for the opener, but he could be ticketed for a larger role now that Greg Olsen (foot) is injured. PPR owners should have Wright on their radar.
9/10/18 - 01:42 PM ET
Devin Funchess caught three passes for 41 yards in Sunday’s win over the Cowboys.
Funchess could be in for a bigger role, including in the red zone, with Greg Olsen (foot) injured, so brighter days should be ahead for the big-bodied receiver. Consider him a low-end WR2/FLEX option for a Week 2 matchup with the Falcons, who he went 5/86 and and 2/48/1 against in 2017.
9/10/18 - 01:40 PM ET
Alex Armah scores first career touchdown in Week 1 win.
It was a one-yard rush on the first touch of the fullback’s career. Armah is unlikely to become a consistent touchdown-scorer on an offense that has Cam Newton and two capable running backs to punch it in near the goal line, but good for him getting a score in his first game.
9/10/18 - 01:37 PM ET
D.J. Moore handles one touch in NFL debut.
It was a three-yard carry. Carolina’s first-round pick doesn’t have a direct path to fantasy value with Devin Funchess, Torrey Smith, and Jarius Wright seemingly locked in as the team’s starting trio of wide receivers, so he doesn’t need to be owned in 10-team leagues. Moore will look to breakout in what could turn into a high-scoring matchup with the Falcons next Sunday.
