Join now >Zeke not fed in Week 1 loss to the Panthers.
Ezekiel Elliott rushed 15 times for 69 yards and a touchdown, also adding three receptions for 17 yards. On a day where Dallas struggled to get the passing game going, they probably should have given Elliott closer to 30 carries than the 15 he received—even against a tough Carolina front. We would expect a heavy workload for Zeke next Sunday night against the Giants, but Travis Frederick being out is a big blow and could leave the Cowboys’ offensive centerpiece outside the top five at the position in our rankings.

Tre Madden catches one pass in Week 1.
Madden’s lone reception went for seven yards. Seattle’s fullback is not a recommended fantasy option.

Keenan Allen goes over 100 yards with a touchdown in Chargers’ Week 1 loss.
The Chargers couldn’t keep up with the Chiefs, but Allen did his part with eight receptions for 108 yards and one touchdown. The touchdown was on a smooth release at the line of scrimmage that got him basically wide-open in the end zone for a 20-yard score. Allen faces a Bills team that gave up three receiving touchdowns to wide receivers in Week 1, but there’s a chance he sees a lot of star Bills cornerback Tre’Davious White in the game; however, Allen is too good not to start in fantasy leagues.

Jaron Brown catches one pass in Seahawks debut.
The former Cardinal gained seven yards on his lone reception (three targets). With Doug Baldwin (knees) potentially out moving forward, Brown might be asked to step into a starting role with Tyler Lockett and Brandon Marshall.

Nick Vannett catches one pass in Week 1.
Vannett was targeted twice against the Broncos, gaining 11 yards on his lone reception. Meanwhile, rookie tight end Will Dissly, who Vannett is splitting time with, had three receptions for 105 yards and a touchdown. Vannett has potential, but it’s difficult to trust him while he’s splitting time.

Brandon Marshall scores in Seahawks debut.
Marshall was targeted a team-high six times against the Broncos, one of his former teams, and he caught three passes for 46 yards and a touchdown. The touchdown was a 20-yarder on a nice spinning double-move, and Russell Wilson put the throw on the money in the end zone. Marshall nearly also had a second-quarter touchdown, but he was called for offensive pass interference. Overall, it was a good first game in Seattle for Marshall, who is likely to be Wilson’s primary red-zone threat and carries double-digit touchdown upside in 2018. And with Doug Baldwin nursing injuries to both knees, Marshall could be a huge part of the offense moving forward. He gets another former team, the Bears, in Week 2.

Melvin Gordon III handles 24 touches in Week 1 loss.
Gordon rushed 15 times for 64 yards, also adding a team-high nine receptions for 102 yards. We think Los Angeles should have fed their featured back more than they did to keep Tyreek Hill and company off the field for Kansas City, but it was great to see Gordon heavily involved as a receiver. He should be an elite play next week against the Bills in both standard and PPR leagues.
