Join now >Patrick Mahomes shines in season opener.
Mahomes was 15/27 for 256 yards, four touchdowns, and zero interceptions in the 38-28 win over the Chargers. He also rushed five times for 21 yards. The second-year quarterback hit Tyreek Hill on a 58-yard score to open things up, then followed it up with a one-yard gadget play to De’Anthony Thomas, a 36-yard strike to fullback Anthony Sherman, and another one-yard score to Hill. Mahomes will probably be a volatile option in his first full year as the starter, but Andy Reid’s offense will certainly make things easier on him, which we saw on Sunday with a couple jet sweeps that were considered passing touchdowns. The gunslinger has QB1 upside once again next week in a potential shootout with the Steelers.

David Johnson scores in Cardinals’ loss.
Johnson carried nine times for 37 rushing yards and one rushing touchdown and added five receptions (on nine targets) for 30 receiving yards. The Cardinals didn’t have many opportunities with the ball, as the Redskins recorded 30 first downs and kept the ball for much of the game. The fourth-quarter touchdown helped make it a solid fantasy performance for Johnson, though. Look for him to get a heavier workload in Week 2 against the Rams.
9/10/18 - 12:15 PM ET
Redskins force two turnovers in Sam Bradford’s Cardinals debut.
This was domination by the Redskins both defensively and offensively, as they held the ball for over 38 minutes in the game and doubled Arizona’s yardage, not giving the Cardinals many opportunities on offense. Bradford was 20/34 for 153 passing yards, one interception, and one fumble lost. He also added two carries for seven rushing yards. The interception was on a deep pass intended for Ricky Seals-Jones that looked like it might have sailed, but Seals-Jones might have squared off the route. The Cardinals have a difficult matchup in Week 2 against the Rams, so Bradford should probably be left out of fantasy lineups.
9/10/18 - 12:12 PM ET
Vernon Davis catches one pass for nine yards in Week 1.
Davis should have bigger games moving forward, but he’s a volatile tight end option as long as Jordan Reed remains healthy.
9/10/18 - 12:08 PM ET
Josh Doctson catches one pass in Week 1.
Doctson’s lone reception went for 11 yards, and he was targeted three times in the game. We’ll see if the receivers get more work for the Redskins next week, as Week 1 was a running-back-heavy gameplan.
9/10/18 - 12:08 PM ET
Paul Richardson catches four passes in Week 1.
Richardson gained 22 yards on his four receptions in his Redskins debut. It was mostly a slow-and-steady offensive approach for Washington, but perhaps he’ll get more chances down the field next week against the Colts.
9/10/18 - 12:07 PM ET
Jamison Crowder catches three passes against the Cardinals
Crowder gained 32 yards on his three receptions. He’ll look to find more room to navigate against the Colts next week.
