Collins had seven carries for 13 rushing yards and one rushing touchdown along with a six-yard reception in the Week 1 victory against the Bills. The bad news is he lost a fumble, which led to him being out of the game for several plays before being put back in; he was then taken out with the game well in-hand in the second half. It’s unclear if the fumble will impact Collins’ status in the backfield, but we anticipate he’ll have his usual lead role on Thursday night against the Bengals.

Javorius Allen scores in Ravens’ win.
Allen carried four times for 17 rushing yards and one rushing touchdown while adding five receptions for 15 receiving yards against the Bills. Allen has a solid role in Baltimore’s backfield, and there’s a chance he gets a crack at more touches after Alex Collins’ fumble. He’s more of a PPR FLEX at the moment, though.

Ben Roethlisberger turns it over five times in Week 1 tie against the Browns.
Roethlisberger was 23/41 for 335 yards, one touchdown, and three interceptions, also fumbling twice (both lost) and rushing three times for 16 yards. Overall, it was a sloppy game for both teams, but a missed field goal kept Pittsburgh from picking up an overtime loss on Big Ben’s fifth turnover. It was a discouraging performance, but weather played a factor, and Roethlisberger should bounce back in a big way next Sunday (at home) against Kansas City’s weak secondary. Consider him a surefire QB1 for that matchup.

Kenneth Dixon scores in Ravens’ win.
Dixon received a good amount of work in Baltimore’s blowout victory, carrying 13 times for 44 rushing yards and one rushing touchdown. Alex Collins’ lost fumble could potentially open the door for more work for Dixon, who was a guy that’s battled injuries but the Ravens have been high on. He isn’t a reliable fantasy option for Week 2, though.

Lamar Jackson mixes in then gets time at quarterback in first NFL game.
As promised, Jackson worked in for different packages with the first-team offense, but he was mostly used as a decoy. But in a 47-3 blowout, Jackson had time to play traditional quarterback when Joe Flacco exited the game. Jackson went 1/4 for 24 passing yards and added seven carries for 39 rushing yards in the Week 1 win. We’ll see Jackson in primetime this Thursday night against the Bengals.

Joe Flacco tosses three touchdowns in Ravens’ Week 1 win.
Flacco came out very sharp against the Bills to open the season, going 25/34 for 236 yards and three touchdowns. The three scores were to his three new starting receivers (John Brown, Michael Crabtree, and Willie Snead IV), as he spread the ball around to his targets and put the ball on the money in the red zone. Flacco isn’t a highly-reccomended fantasy option quite yet, but keep in mind that he’s probably playing with a chip on his shoulder after the team drafted Lamar Jackson in the first round. The Ravens have a short week as they play this Thursday night against the Bengals.

Erik Swoope catches one pass in Week 1 defeat.
It went for 13 yards. Swoope isn’t a fantasy option behind Jack Doyle and Eric Ebron, but he should get some playing time in Frank Reich’s versatile offense.
