Michel was a limited participant again in today’s practice, making it three official limited participations for him this week. That makes it unlikely for him to play on Sunday against the Texans, as he was already behind after missing a few weeks during the summer. We’ll see what happens on Sunday morning when actives and inactives are released, but expect Michel to be out for Week 1.
9/7/18 - 04:23 PM ET
DeAndre Washington (knee) remains out of practice.
It would be a surprise if Washington plays in Week 1. He might be listed out when the official injury report for the game is released tomorrow.
9/7/18 - 03:56 PM ET
Marshawn Lynch (groin) remains limited in practice.
His Week 1 status is not in any doubt as far we know, but he still might be listed as questionable when the official injury report for the game is released tomorrow. Lynch plays in the final game of the week late Monday night, so just keep an eye on his status.
9/7/18 - 03:54 PM ET
Marlon Mack (hamstring) is officially questionable for Week 1.
Most are not expecting Mack to play against the Bengals, but he’s pushing to give it a go and probably would love to be out there for the first game under a new coaching staff. The Colts play in the early 1:00 PM ET games, so fantasy owners will know by Sunday 11:30 AM ET whether Mack is active or not.
9/7/18 - 03:46 PM ET
Jermaine Gresham (Achilles) is listed as questionable for Week 1.
The veteran tight end is making a push to play in the season opener despite tearing his Achilles in the season finale last year. If Gresham does play, he probably won’t have a huge role after missing the entire summer, but his presence would be good for Arizona. This doesn’t affect Ricky Seals-Jones’ Week 1 status as a high-potential fantasy option.
9/7/18 - 03:38 PM ET
Daniel Brown (shoulder) is doubtful for Week 1.
Brown was able to get in a limited practice today, but he’s unlikely to play on Sunday night against the Packers. Fantasy-wise, this is more of a blow to Jordan Howard’s value than anything, as Brown is a solid run blocker.
9/7/18 - 02:42 PM ET
Doug Pederson says we’ll see more of Jay Ajayi moving forward.
Pederson explained that Ajayi didn’t get a ton of playing time to start the game because he missed a couple of weeks with the lower body injury and wanted to get him back into the flow of the game. “Moving forward, we’ll see him more,” Pederson said of Ajayi, who ran for two touchdowns and a two-point conversion in the second half against Atlanta. This is still a committee type of backfield that could frustrate at times, but Ajayi is clearly the lead ball-carrier of the bunch.
