Join now >Alshon Jeffery (shoulder) is officially listed as out for tomorrow night’s season opener.
This was fully expected, as Jeffery is expected to miss at least Week 2 as well. Nelson Agholor will be Philadelphia’s No. 1 wide receiver against Atlanta, and Zach Ertz should get plenty of targets in the game. Jeffery is certainly worth keeping on the bench (or an IR spot if you have them in your league) until he returns.

De’Angelo Henderson is signing with the Jets practice squad.
The sixth-round pick of the Broncos last season is heading east as a member of the Jets. Henderson might be able to work his way into a roster spot and a role at some point, so keep an eye on him.

Le’Veon Bell’s agent hints that his client does not want a heavy workload this season and/or might not report to the team for a while.
Adita Bakari, Bell’s agent, went on SiriusXM NFL Radio and he hinted very strongly that the All-Pro running back might not show up to the Steelers for some time. You should listen to the full audio in the link below for yourself, but Bakari said: “You’re [Steelers GM] Kevin Colbert, you’re [Steelers head coach] Mike Tomlin, and you possible have a once-in-a-generation player for one more season: What would your plan be?” When pressed on the issue, Bakari said you can read between the lines on it, and the Bakari backpedaled on his statement from earlier this year when he said Bell was planning on doing the same thing as last year (show up ahead of Week 1). Basically, Bell doesn’t want to be run into the ground before he can get his huge multi-year payday as an unrestricted free agent. However, there’s nothing Bell can do with his contract except sign the franchise tender, and he still isn’t with the team with Week 1 preparations well under way. Things could change, but fantasy owners should probably treat their star player as being out indefinitely. It’s possible Bell doesn’t show up until after ten games, which he must do to have this season count towards him becoming a free agent in 2019.

The Giants waived Davis Webb, according to ESPN’s Jordan Raanan.
New York had four quarterbacks on the roster, which obviously wasn’t feasible with the season starting a week from today. But this is still a shocking move, with Webb being selected in the third round by the team last year and playing well in game action. Webb will not have any trouble finding a new team.

Evan Engram is out of concussion protocol.
It took some time to get fully cleared, but the second-year tight end is ready to go against the Jaguars. Engram is a TE1 option, and he should get at least a handful of looks with Odell Beckham Jr. and Sterling Shepard having to contend with Jacksonville’s top-notch corners on the outside.

The Eagles signed Josh Adams to the practice squad.
The undrafted rookie running back from Notre Dame was just waived yesterday after a solid preseason, but he got through waivers and will remain with Philadelphia on the practice squad. He’s someone to keep an eye on, particularly in dynasty leagues.

James Conner is expected to start for the Steelers in Week 1.
The first official practice of the week was today, and Le’Veon Bell was nowhere to be found. Perhaps the All-Pro Bell will report to the team later today, tomorrow, or Friday, but the offense is clearly ready to move forward with Conner carrying the load versus Cleveland. Unless things take a sudden turn, expect Conner to get a sizable workload in Week 1. He’s an RB1/RB2 option to open the year.
