Join now >Chad Williams is listed as the No. 2 wide receiver on the Cardinals depth chart.
Things could change between now and Sunday, but for now, expect the second-year receiver to start the game opposite Larry Fitzgerald. All of Williams, J.J. Nelson, and rookie Christian Kirk should get plenty of playing time for Arizona, though. To open the season, Fitz is the only recommended fantasy option from the group in standard-sized leagues, but perhaps one of the other three guys will emerge as the clear No. 2.

The Patriots claimed wide receiver Chad Hansen.
Hansen was a fourth-round pick of the division-rival Jets last year, and the Patriots are adding him to their receiving group along with Seattle’s 2017 third-rounder Amara Darboh. Hansen will look to eventually gain trust and work his way into a sizable role on offense, but he’s not a recommended fantasy pickup at the moment.

UPDATE: Donnel Pumphrey is signing with Detroit’s practice squad.
NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport just clarified that the signing of Pumphrey was to the practice squad, not the 53-man roster. Pumphrey will have a chance to develop, and he could potentially take a Theo Riddick type of role in the future.

The Patriots claimed Amara Darboh.
The 2017 third-round pick of the Seahawks now joins New England, where he’ll have an opportunity in a receiving corps that has just three active receivers with Julian Edelman now suspended to open the season. Darboh isn’t a recommended fantasy pickup yet, but he’s someone to keep an eye on in dynasty leagues in particular.

The Lions are signing Donnel Pumphrey, according to NFL Network.
The second-year back was waived by the Eagles ahead of roster cuts over the weekend. The Lions might already have the most-crowded backfield in the NFL with Kerryon Johnson, LeGarrette Blount, Theo Riddick, and Ameer Abdullah, so Pumphrey doesn’t have any fantasy value at the moment. He might contribute as a returner for Detroit, though.

The Broncos claimed Kevin Hogan, according to multiple reports.
This means Denver now has four quarterbacks on the roster, which could potentially be bad news for Paxton Lynch. Hogan might work his way into the backup role if the team likes him enough.

Amara Darboh is having surgery today, according to NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo.
It’s unclear what type of surgery Darboh is having, but this explains his quick release from the Patriots after being claimed Sunday. Hopefully the second-year receiver can get healthy and contribute to a team soon.
