The 2017 third-round pick of the Giants remains in New York, where he probably expected to be with the Giants a lot longer than one year. This is a good spot for Webb, as he’ll have a chance to be with veteran quarterback Josh McCown, who is a great influence on young quarterbacks.

DeAndre Carter made the Eagles’ 53-man roster.
This is a great story for the 25-year-old who has been cut six different times since entering the league in 2015. Carter played well this preseason and earned a spot on the defending Super Bowl champions’ roster. There’s a chance Carter has a decent role on offense to open the season with Alshon Jeffery (shoulder) likely out, but he’s not a recommended fantasy option.

Richard Rodgers (knee) has been placed on injured reserve.
Rodgers signed with the Eagles this offseason as depth at tight end, but he was never expected to have a big role with Zach Ertz and rookie Dallas Goedert ahead of him on the depth chart. The former Packer is highly unlikely to be one of Philadelphia’s injured players that’s designated to return this year.

The Seahawks waived Amara Darboh.
Last year’s third-round pick was injured for most of the summer, and the Seahawks are moving on after one-plus season. Another team will give Darboh a chance, and he might be claimed on waivers. If not one claims him, Darboh might sign with Seattle’s practice squad.
9/1/18 - 07:57 PM ET
The Eagles re-signed Markus Wheaton.
This is a corresponding move with the team placing tight end Richard Rodgers (knee) on injured reserve. Wheaton was with Philadelphia this preseason before getting cut ahead of the 53-man-roster deadline, but he’s now back in the mix. Wheaton is not a recommended fantasy option, but he could have a few opportunities on offense this Thursday night with Alshon Jeffery (shoulder) and Mack Hollins (groin) both likely out.
9/4/18 - 09:27 AM ET
Ed Dickson (groin) remains on the non-football injury list.
Dickson looks questionable at best for the season opener after missing the entire summer with his groin injury suffered while working out on his own ahead of training camp. He’s not a recommended fantasy selection at the moment.
9/1/18 - 07:54 PM ET
The Seahawks placed J.D. McKissic on injured reserve.
McKissic can return after eight games if he’s one of Seattle’s two potential designated to return players. Chris Carson, Rashaad Penny, and C.J. Prosise will lead the backfield to start the season.
