Kenneth Farrow | Free Agent RB

The Patriots signed running back Kenneth Farrow.

Farrow is a 2016 undrafted free agent that impressed with the Chargers as a rookie before spending last season on injured reserve. It’ll be tough for Farrow to crack New England’s 53-man roster so late in the process, but perhaps he can carve out a role on the practice squad.

Leonte Carroo | Free Agent WR

The Dolphins cut Leonte Carroo, according to multiple reports.

Craig Mish of SiriusXM was the first to report the news. Miami traded up in the third round to draft Carroo in 2016, but he wasn’t able to carve out a role in their receiving corps. He’ll draw immediate interest elsewhere and might be claimed on waivers.

AJ McCarron | Free Agent QB

A.J. McCarron is “ready to go” for the Bills.

McCarron did not play in yesterday’s preseason game against the Bengals, but Bills head coach Sean McDermott says he’s back and ready. This quarterback competition might stretch to the fourth preseason game this Thursday.

Aaron Ripkowski | Free Agent FB

The Packers are waiving Aaron Ripkowski.

Ripkowski has been Green Bay’s fullback the last three seasons, so this is a bit of a surprise. Perhaps the Packers will bring him back if he clears waivers, though.

Doug Baldwin | Free Agent WR

Pete Carroll says Doug Baldwin will be ready for Week 1.

Carroll says Baldwin is ramping up his practice activity but will not play in the preseason finale on Thursday (which is not a surprise). However, Carroll maintains that Baldwin will be out there for the season opener. Barring a setback, we’ll see Baldwin on September 9 against the Broncos. His injury and missing all this time doesn’t decrease his fantasy value too much, but it’s something to keep in mind during drafts.

Dwayne Washington | Free Agent RB

The Lions waived Dwayne Washington.

Detroit has one of the deepest running back groups in the NFL, and Washington battled an injury throughout the beginning of the preseason. He did play well in the final preseason game, though, and will get interest from other teams.

9/1/18 - 01:06 PM ET

Josh Gordon | Free Agent WR

Hue Jackson says Josh Gordon will not start in Week 1.

Gordon basically missed the entire summer and did not play in any preseason games, so Jackson isn’t going to insert him right into the starting lineup for the season opener against Pittsburgh. However, that doesn’t mean Gordon isn’t going to get a lot of playing time in Week 1. If he’s in shape, Gordon is likely to be a part of the gameplan for a team that has won one game the last two seasons. Gordon should be downgraded slightly for Week 1, but he’s still startable if he’s active.
