It appeared to be a serious knee injury suffered by Foster, and unfortunately it is indeed a season-ender. The 2016 undrafted free agent might have had a role contributing on special teams and mixing in as a receiver out of the backfield this season, but now he’ll go through a long rehab process. We hope to see him back to 100% and on the field in 2019.

Rico Gathers was arrested for marijuana possession, according to multiple reports.
The incident occurred last night, and it obviously didn’t come at a good time with roster cuts due by today at 4:00 PM ET. The athletic former Baylor basketball player was on the roster bubble, so there’s a chance Gathers doesn’t make final cuts today.

The Raiders are trading Ryan Switzer to the Steelers, according to Jordan Schultz.
This is the second time Switzer has been traded this year, as Oakland acquired him from Dallas during the draft. There was some talk of Switzer being poised for a big role in the Raiders offense, but clearly that wasn’t the case. Instead, Griff Whalen might have beat Switzer out for a job in Oakland’s receiving group and seems likely to make the team. Switzer now has less than two weeks to get acclimated with the Steelers, so it’s difficult to see him having much fantasy value to start the season. He could become one of Pittsburgh’s primary returners to open the year, though.

The Jaguars waived Tanner Lee, according to NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero.
The big-armed sixth-round rookie quarterback will now hit waivers, but the Jags are a good bet to place him on the practice squad if no other team claims him.

DeVanter Parker (finger) might not play in Week 1.
Dolphins head coach Adam Gase basically isn’t sure if Parker will be ready to play for the season opener, but he did say the big receiver still can’t catch a football because of his broken finger. Parker remains week-to-week with the opener less than two weeks away. Parker can at least stay in shape while dealing with the broken finger, so he might be inserted right back into the lineup when he can catch again. Consider him questionable for Week 1 for now.

The Bills are releasing wide receiver Corey Coleman, according to Ian Rapoport.
A first-round pick of the Browns in 2016, Coleman was traded to the Bills earlier this month, but he didn’t make enough of an impact to stick around. It’s not a great sign considering Buffalo has one of the worst receiving corps in the league, but we still think the Baylor product has the talent to be a potential difference-maker in the right situation. He is still just 24, so another team will absolutely take a flier on him at some point in the near future. Coleman can be ignored in redraft leagues.

The Jaguars are placing Marqise Lee (knee) on injured reserve.
This is according to multiple reports, and it’s not a surprise. Lee suffered a serious knee injury in Saturday night’s preseason game against the Falcons after taking a hit to the knee on a reception, suffering ligament damage. We’ll see if more word comes out on the exact severity of the injury, but hopefully it’s a clean tear that will allow him to get back on the field at full strength next summer. The good news is Lee just signed a four-year, $38 million contract in the offseason, but this still obviously comes at a bad time with the Jaguars attempting to compete for a Super Bowl in 2018. We wish Lee luck in his recovery. Keelan Cole, Dede Westbrook, and Donte Moncrief are now expected to be Jacksonville’s top three receivers this season.
