Join now >Isaiah Crowell is expected to play tomorrow’s presason game.
After missing a week because of a concussion suffered in the Jets’ first preseason game, Crowell is out of concussion protocol and should be back for the important third preseason game tomorrow against the Giants. Hopefully the Jets starters get extensive action so we can get a good look at the running back situation for them. Crowell and Bilal Powell are expected to handle most of the work in the backfield this season.

Jerick McKinnon (calf) will be out until Week 1.
49ers GM John Lynch told this to KNBR 680 Radio in San Francisco. McKinnon’s injury was being called a muscle strain, and his Week 1 status hasn’t been in much doubt, but it’s a slight concern that he’s already been ruled out for next week’s third preseason game. However, the Niners could be playing it safe with their starting running back in an effort to ensure he’s ready to go to start the regular season; if your fantasy draft is some point soon, you shouldn’t consider it a lock that McKinnon will be on the field for Week 1, though. Hopefully we get more clarity on the situation toward the end of August or the start of September, as calf injuries can be tricky. Expect McKinnon’s ADP to drop some in the coming days.

Byron Marshall’s MRI showed no serious damage to his leg.
Marshall left last night’s preseason game with a lower leg injury, but it appears he’s fine moving forward. He might miss some practice time, but Marshall should be ready to go for next week’s third preseason game.

Jake Kumerow leaves preseason game with a shoulder injury.
He’s done for the night, but the injury probably isn’t too serious with him walking around the sideline with his shoulder pads still on. Before leaving, Kumerow had an 82-yard touchdown on a catch and run after caching an out route by the sideline. Kumerow has drawn praise from Aaron Rodgers this summer, and he’s producing in game action, so he might work his way into a role when the regular season begins.

Richard Rodgers (knee) is out for the rest of tonight’s preseason game.
Rodgers was injured on a touchdown catch in the third quarter. The injury didn’t appear to be serious, so Rodgers might not miss much time with this; but his night is done.
8/16/18 - 10:07 PM ET
Bryce Treggs it out for the remainder of tonight’s preseason game with a hamstring injury.
Treggs had two receptions for 23 yards before leaving, and you could see the frustration as he went to the sideline. Hopefully this injury isn’t too serious with Treggs looking to crack the final roster for Philadelphia.

Jamaal Williams (ankle) leaves preseason game against the Steelers.
The Packers announced the ankle injury for Williams but haven’t given any more information. Williams is competing for a sizable role in what’s expected to be a committee for Green Bay, so hopefully the injury isn’t too serious.
