Join now >Sam Darnold has officially agreed to his contract with the Jets.
It’s a four-year deal worth $30.25 million with $20 million guaranteed. After missing a few Jets practices to start training camp, Darnold will now be thrown into the mix with Josh McCown and Teddy Bridgewater. Jets head coach Todd Bowles already said they’ll get Darnold up to speed, and it might not take long for him to get some first-team reps. The team probably hopes Darnold plays so well that they can’t keep him out of the lineup, but both McCown and Bridgewater are more than capable as the starting quarterback.

Jake Kumerow is getting first-team reps in training camp.
The 2015 undrafted receiver is reportedly standing out early at Packers camp, and he’s earned some work with the first-team offense because of it. Kumerow stands at 6’4″ and runs in the 4.5s, so he has the size-speed combination going for him. He’s certainly someone to keep an eye on throughout the preseason, as he could potentially become an impact player if he gains the trust of Aaron Rodgers, who would likely push for him to get playing time if they form a solid connection.

Matt Ryan says he sees Calvin Ridley having immediate success for the Falcons.
Matty Ice says it’s “not hard” to imagine the impact the rookie receiver is going to make this season, saying that he’ll fit right in and he sees him “having a really good year for us and fitting in really well with the receiving corps we have.” Ryan also told CBS Sports that Ridley “is different” because of his athleticism and second gear he has. The former Alabama star showed his ability to get deep throughout his college career in the SEC, and he should mesh perfectly with Ryan’s elite deep ball. Ridley has FLEX potential in his first NFL season.

Rishard Matthews remains out of Titans practice.
Matthews didn’t land on the PUP list for Tennessee, but he hasn’t practice yet and the team isn’t disclosing the injury he’s dealing with. As long as Matthews remains out, it’ll give more opportunities to the young receivers like Corey Davis, Taywan Taylor, and Tajae Sharpe.

Cedrick Wilson is believed to have a torn labrum in his shoulder, according to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport.
This is a tough blow for the sixth-round rookie in his first training camp. Rapoport says they are undergoing more tests to determine the next course of action, but there’s certainly a chance that Wilson’s season is over. We’ll update you as more information becomes available.

The Cardinals will move Larry Fitzgerald around the formation on offense.
New offensive coordinator Mike McCoy wants to move Fitz both inside and outside to get him the ball. If no one steps up on the outside for Arizona, it could lead to the future Hall of Famer getting more work there. We expect he’ll spend most of his time in the slot, which is where he’s had most of his success in recent years, though. With the ultra-accurate Sam Bradford throwing him passes, Fitz is a solid bet to hit 100+ receptions for the fourth straight season no matter where he lines up.

Dalvin Cook says he’s quicker and faster after his ACL tear.
This can be the case sometimes, as an intense rehab often makes athletes stronger than they were before the injury. By all accounts, the second-year running back has looked amazing in his return from his ACL injury in Week 4 of last season, and he has not been wearing a knee brace in practice. Cook’s knee is of no concern in 2018, and it shouldn’t stop you from taking him early in fantasy drafts this year.
