Join now >The Redskins have selected LSU running back Derrius Guice with the No. 59 pick (second round) in the 2018 NFL Draft.
The draft-slide for the former LSU star ends, as the Redskins have selected the talented running back late in the second round. Some considered Guice a great first-round talent, and many even mocked him going to Washington with the No. 13 pick in the draft. Instead, the Redskins snagged him nearly 50 picks later. Over the last two seasons, Guice had over 1,200 yards rushing in the SEC, including as a sophomore with 2017 fourth overall pick Leonard Fournette also in the backfield. It’s worth noting that there are some rumors swirling around that there is some off-field issue that teams know about which caused Guice to slip, but it could just be rumors. On the field, Guice will compete with Samaje Perine and Rob Kelley for early-down snaps, and he could potentially form a devastating combo with receiving back Chris Thompson. The dynasty outlook is bright because Guice has a lot of ability, but we’ll have to see how big his role is as a rookie.

Le’Veon Bell tells ESPN he’s not bluffing about retirement if the Steelers tag him again.
With the Steelers set to franchise Bell for a second straight year ahead of the Tuesday 4:00 PM ET deadline, Bell spoke to ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler and said he won’t play for a contract less than $14.5 million per year, which is what the 2018 franchise tag will give him. If he is indeed tagged, which is set to happen if the two sides do not agree to a long-term deal, Bell says he isn’t sure what would happen but that he would likely skip training camp again. The All-Pro running back made it clear he isn’t going to settle for anything less than what he feels he’s worth to the Steelers, and while he says negotiations are better than last season, it wouldn’t be surprising if both sides dig in and again don’t get a long-term deal get done this year.

The Broncos have selected Arkansas running back David Williams with the 226th pick (seventh round) in the 2018 NFL Draft.
Williams got playing time in all four college seasons—three in South Carolina and then this past season in Arkansas. Last year with the Razorbacks was his best, as he ran for 656 yards and eight touchdowns while adding 171 receiving yards and two touchdowns. In Denver, Williams will look to make the team’s roster as a rookie, but he’s unlikely to be a fantasy option in 2018.

The Saints are not matching the Ravens’ offer sheet to Willie Snead, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
After New Orleans signed former Bears receiver Cameron Meredith, paired with Baltimore’s offer being pretty sizable at up to around $10 million over two years, this was fully expected. Snead will now officially be a Raven, and he’ll look to carve out a big role as one of Joe Flacco’s top-three receivers this season. Right now, fellow free agent signings Michael Crabtree and John Brown look to be the top two options for Baltimore, and former first-rounder Breshad Perriman and Chris Moore are also in the mix, but Snead is probably the favorite to man the slot for the Ravens. It’s possible Flacco and Snead form the best connection of all the receivers, which could lead to high-floor fantasy value, but right now Snead is just a late-round flier.

The Bears have selected Memphis wide receiver Anthony Miller with the No. 51 pick (second round) in the 2018 NFL Draft.
Chicago continued to revamp its receiving corps this offseason, as they add one of college football’s most productive receivers over the last two seasons. Miller had lines of 95/1,434/14 and 96/1,462/18 during his junior and seniors seasons at Memphis, as he consistently got open and made plays despite not being a big or extremely athletic guy. Clearly he’s not at the same level quite yet, but Steelers All-Pro Antonio Brown is a comp for Miller’s style of play. As a rookie, Miller might slot right into the slot role for the Bears and could potentially become the number two option behind Allen Robinson. He’s someone to keep an eye on throughout the summer leading up to fantasy drafts.

Zach Ertz catches game-winning touchdown in Super Bowl LII victory.
With the Eagles down 33-32 late in the fourth quarter, Ertz was able to take a slant in for the score from 11 yards out on a key first down, and it was a play the team needed so that Tom Brady and New England didn’t need just a field goal to win. Ertz finished with seven receptions for 67 yards and the score on nine targets in the 41-33 win. After a breakout season that put him right behind Rob Gronkowski in terms of NFL tight ends, Ertz deserves to be drafted as the second or third fantasy option at the position in the summer.

The Bears have selected Georgia wide receiver Javon Wims with the 224th pick (seventh round) of the 2018 NFL Draft.
There are some really solid receivers left on the board, and Chicago takes one of them in Wims. The six-foot-three wideout has great ball skills on the perimeter and can adjust his body to haul in difficult catches. He has a good opportunity to earn a role behind Allen Robinson, Anthony Miller, and Taylor Gabriel on an offense that should take a huge step in 2018, but it probably won’t lead to any fantasy value as a rookie.
