Join now >The Falcons will release tight end Levine Toilolo at the start of the new league year.
Atlanta will release the 2013 fourth-round draft choice out of Stanford with a post-June 1 designation to save more money toward the cap. Loilolo just signed a three-year contract extension with the Falcons last season, but he wasn’t a huge part of the offense in the passing game, catching 12 passes for 122 yards and a touchdown. In his five seasons with the Falcons, Toilolo had 74 receptions for 723 yards and seven touchdowns. Toilolo will be 27 in July, and he’ll have no trouble finding a new team as a big target that’s a willing blocker.

The Falcons have selected LSU wide receiver Russell Gage with the 194th pick (sixth round) of the 2018 NFL Draft.
Atlanta gets another SEC wideout to pair with Julio Jones and this year’s first-round pick Calvin Ridley, but Russell Gage could make his biggest impact on special teams as a rookie. Gage didn’t make much of an impact as a wideout for the Tigers, but the Falcons are getting a potential four-down player if he develops into a receiving option. He can be ignored for fantasy purposes for now.

The Saints re-signed wide receiver Brandon Coleman, according to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport.
Coleman was a restricted free agent, but the Saints didn’t place a tender on him. However, he’s still returning to New Orleans to remain a part of Drew Brees’ receiving corps. The Saints have added Cameron Meredith to the group, which could diminish Coleman’s playing time, but he’ll still chip in on offense as a big target that knows the offense. Coleman is currently only a fantasy option in very deep leagues.

The Falcons have selected Alabama receiver Calvin Ridley with the No. 26 pick in the 2018 NFL Draft.
Considered the most pro-ready receiver by many people, Calvin Ridley is quite the acquisition for the Falcons late in the first round, and the former Alabama star will immediately step into Atlanta’s offense with fellow former Alabama receiver Julio Jones. The versatility of both Jones and Ridley, along with Mohamed Sanu, will give the Falcons a ton of flexibility on offense. Quarterback Matt Ryan is probably extremely happy with this selection, and he could put Ridley to use a lot in 2018. In one of the league’s best offenses with one of the league’s best quarterbacks, Ridley has FLEX upside as a rookie. And for the future, Jones and Ridley figure to form one of the NFL’s best Batman and Robin combos at receiver.

Jay Ajayi gets nine carries as the Eagles win Super Bowl LII.
Ajayi didn’t lead the backfield in the Big Game, but he still received a good amount of work and did damage with his carries. The bruising back gained 57 yards on his nine attempts. After getting traded from Miami at the trade deadline, Ajayi probably can’t be happier about the results. He should remain a big part of the Eagles’ backfield in 2018, and he’ll likely be their top fantasy option in the backfield next season.

The Chargers have selected Texas Tech wide receiver Dylan Cantrell with the 191st pick (sixth round) of the 2018 NFL Draft.
Cantrell is an interesting prospect with great size at six-foot-three and nearly 230 pounds, and he also had a 38.5-inch vertical at the Combine. The Texas Tech receiver has natural ball skills and knows how to use his size, but he might not have the ability to separate like he needs to at the next level. We will see if he can earn a roster spot with the Chargers in training camp, but it’s unlikely to lead to fantasy success in 2018.

Fred Jackson has officially retired from the NFL.
Jackson last played in 2015 and wanted to previously continue his career, but he officially retired a memeber of the Bills today. Jackson spent ten seasons in the NFL, playing nine of them in Buffalo and the last one in Seattle. He had 1,305 carries for 5,746 rushing yards and 30 rushing touchdowns, along with 354 receptions for 2,897 receiving yards and nine receiving touchdowns. While the running back never made a Pro Bowl, we was one of the better all-around backs in the game during his careeer and became the first player ever to have 1,000 rushing and 1,000 kickoff returns yards in the same season in 2009. We wish Jackson the best of luck in the next step of his life.
