Carson Wentz | Free Agent QB

Carson Wentz says being ready for Week 1 is “still the goal.”

The Eagles franchise quarterback added that “it’s so hard to put a timeframe and a timetable on these things” but that he is “happy” with where he’s at in the rehab process. Wentz is running again, which is a great sign, and another great sign is that he says he’s going to be smart about not rushing to come back. Hopefully Wentz is one of those guys that heals quicker than most and is more than ready to play in the opening game of the season, but the Eagles have Nick Foles ready to go if Wentz is not. Wentz did also say he isn’t going to change his play style, which could be a concern for his long-term health outlook—but he sure will be exciting whenever he’s on the field.

Josh Rosen | Free Agent QB

The Cardinals trade up, select UCLA quarterback Josh Rosen with the No. 10 pick in the 2018 NFL Draft.

Arizona traded pick No. 15, pick No. 79, and pick No. 152 to Oakland in exchange for the No. 10 pick. Throughout the draft process, Rosen has drawn some comparisons to Cardinals starter Sam Bradford because of his ability to throw the football, so this is a good spot for him to land as he adjusts to the NFL. For 2018, Rosen might be behind both Bradford and Mike Glennon on the depth chart, so he doesn’t have much fantasy value outside of dynasty leagues at the moment. This makes four quarterbacks in the top ten, which is the first time it has happened in NFL history.

Jarvis Landry | Free Agent WR

Jarvis Landry has received permission to seek a trade, according to Ian Rapoport.

The Dolphins tagged Landry quickly after the window opened up last month, but signs have indicated they didn’t plan to keep him on the roster for 2018. This further confirms that. Now Landry and his agent are allowed to talk to other teams about potentially acquiring Landry via a trade from Miami and signing him to a long-term contract. The Ravens and Panthers have been two teams brought up that might be interested in trying to add Landry to their team, and something should come together by the start of the new league year on March 14. It would be a surprise if Landry ends up playing another snap for the Dolphins.

Damion Ratley | Free Agent WR

The Browns have selected Texas A&M wide receiver Damion Ratley with the 175th pick (sixth round) of the 2018 NFL Draft.

Ratley didn’t get much of an opportunity at Texas A&M behind Christian Kirk, but he has some tools to work with on an offense that continues to acquire talent. The Browns could stash him on the practice squad in 2018.

Odell Beckham Jr. | Free Agent WR

Jarvis Landry says Odell Beckham Jr. is “going to be a Giant for another year.”

The Browns receiver is speaking to the Cleveland media at the team’s offseason training, and he says he thinks the period of potentially getting Beckham is “over.” This is noteworthy because Landry and Beckham are such good friends from their time at LSU, and maybe Beckham told him he’ll be staying with the Giants for 2018. After the trade speculation heightened to the point that it looked like OBJ was likely on his way out of New York, it now seems very likely he stays with the Giants. However, anything can happen, and maybe Giants GM Dave Gettleman will still make a deal with a team at some point.

Kenny Britt | Free Agent WR

The Patriots have picked up Kenny Britt’s option, according to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport.

New England signed Britt last year after he was released by the Browns, but he didn’t really get integrated into the offense, which is understandable in a complex system. However, things could be different in 2018, as Rapoport says the Patriots are “looking for big things” out of the veteran wideout next season. Britt will turn 30 in September, so he’s still in his prime and has a chance to finally reach his potential with Tom Brady throwing passes to him. As a fantasy option, though, he probably won’t be worth considering before the later rounds if Brandin Cooks, Julian Edelman, Chris Hogan, and Rob Gronkowski are all back and healthy ahead of him for targets.

Phillip Dorsett | Free Agent WR

Phillip Dorsett catches one pass in Super Bowl LII.

Dorsett took many of Brandin Cooks’ snaps when Cooks went down with a head injury in the first half, catching one pass for 19 yards. Dorsett probably needs to be somewhere other than the stacked receivers group in New England to have fantasy value in 2018.
