Join now >Chris Hogan plays great in Super Bowl LII.
The Patriots fell to the Eagles in a shootout, but Hogan and the offense did their part in the game. Hogan caught six passes for 128 yards and one touchdown while also adding a four-yard carry. The touchdown was on a 26-yard pass where he easily beat Eagles safety Rodney McLeod, and Hogan also added a 43-yard reception on a deep ball. Next season, Hogan should remain a prominent member of New England’s receiving corps.

The Ravens have selected UCLA wide receiver Jordan Lasley with the 162nd pick (fifth round) of the 2018 NFL Draft.
Lasley was a bit of a polarizing prospect, but this is a good spot and value for him. The former UCLA star was highly productive for the Bruins, and he has a chance to earn a role behind Michael Crabtree and John Brown as a rookie. Baltimore also selected Jaleel Scott today, but Lasley the two rookies will both compete for playing time, and we think Lasley has a better chance to carve out a slot role in 2018.

The Broncos are releasing C.J. Anderson, according to NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo.
Despite Anderson coming off his first-career 1,000-yard season, this move isn’t a surprise after Broncos executive John Elway declined to say the running back would be back with the team in 2018. The Broncos reportedly were trying to trade Anderson this offseason, but clearly nothing came together. This comes a couple years after Denver signed Anderson to a four-year contract, and now the team will move forward with Devontae Booker and De’Angelo Henderson in the backfield. Right now, Booker might be the clear starter, but the team might add a running back early in this year’s draft—perhaps Penn State’s Saquon Barkley at fifth overall. For Anderson, he just turned 27 in February and should get a good amount of interest around the league. The Dolphins, who signed Anderson to an offer sheet when he was a restricted free agent in 2016, could be interested despite signing Frank Gore earlier this offseason.

Odell Beckham Jr. is not fully cleared from his ankle injury; will be with the Giants this season.
Beckham is at Giants voluntary minicamp, but new head coach Pat Shurmur says the star receiver is still going through his rehab to get fully cleared. OBJ participated in walk-through but sat out the actual training. The good news is that Beckham is with the team and not holding out after everything that happened over the last several weeks. Shurmur says Beckham will “absolutely” be a part of the team in 2018 and has had constant communication with him. It appears the tough stance taken by GM Dave Gettleman might have gotten through to Beckham, who probably would prefer to stay in the big-market New York than get traded someplace he has little control over.

Dalvin Cook (knee) might be ready for OTAs.
Vikings head coach Mike Zimmer says his second-year running back will be “pretty close” to being good to go for OTAs. This comes a day after Vikings GM Rick Spielman said the team is “very excited” about the progress last year’s second-round pick has made in his recovery. After tearing the ACL in September, Cook has had plenty of time to get back to 100%, and he will certainly be there by training camp if he isn’t ready for offseason training. Minnesota’s running back situation will be interesting to watch leading up to the season, as while Cook looks like he’s going to be a stud for the Vikings, Latavius Murray was one of the best running backs in the NFL last season when he got going. They’ll both get work this season, and it’s possible Murray takes a lot of the goal line work, because as Spielman indicated, the team had more success there in 2017.

The Browns officially signed exclusive free agent Josh Gordon.
Gordon does not have accrued seasons to become a restricted or unrestricted free agent, so the Browns had exclusive rights to sign him. This was just a formality, as if Gordon was going to play this season it was going to be for Cleveland. With Tyrod Taylor and his very good deep ball ability now at quarterback for the Browns, the ultra-talented Gordon offers a lot of upside in fantasy drafts this summer. If Gordon stays out of trouble and is fully committed to football, the Browns will have quite the weapon on the outside.

Andrew Luck might need another shoulder surgery, according to ESPN.
ESPN’s Adam Schefter says that on Sunday, colleague Chris Mortensen reported “there still are doctors who have concerns about Andrew Luck’s shoulder and whether he could wind up needing additional surgery.” This comes on the heels of Patriots offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels backing out of the Colts job at the last minute, with some speculating the uncertainty around Luck’s health having something to do with it. Luck sounded very optimistic when he spoke last month about his shoulder, but this is obviously an issue that is unlike most shoulder injuries. Hopefully Luck is fine and 100% ready to go in 2018, but there’s now more reason for some pessimism.
