Join now >Case Keenum has officially signed a two-year deal with Denver.
This was only a matter the new league year starting to allow Keenum to officially sign the deal with the Broncos, as it was the first quarterback deal revealed during the legal tampering period. Like he did during his breakout season with the Vikings last season, Keenum will have two solid receivers—Demaryius Thomas and Emmanuel Sanders—on the outside, but the best connection for Keenum with Denver might be with offensive coordinator Bill Musgrave, who worked with Pat Shurmer (Keenum’s coordinator last season) under Chip Kelly in Philadelphia. The Broncos targeted Keenum for a reason, and he’ll look to repeat his very successful 2017 season with a new team. Keenum will have backend QB1 potential in fantasy drafts this summer.

Tom Brady (hand) is officially listed as questionable for the AFC Championship Game.
Brady was listed as limited in practice, though he wouldn’t say if he threw the ball or not after sustaining the injury on Wednesday, which is reportedly needed stitches around his knuckle for. Perhaps it’s looking into things too much, but Brady did wear football gloves to his press conference today—maybe to hide the stitching on his throwing hand. Brady was also coy about his status for about his game status for Sunday, saying “we’ll see” when asked if he’ll play against the Jaguars. It would be a major shock if the G.O.A.T. sat out with another trip to the Super Bowl on the line, but his hand is certainly something to keep an eye on if he is indeed active for the game. Brady might go with a glove on his throwing hand, which he says he hasn’t done in “a while.” Keep in mind this also could be a tactic to psych out the fired-up Jaguars a bit, as they might think Brady is not 100% and could subconsciously be let down if they see him out there as his usual near-unstoppable self.

The Saints did not tender wide receiver Brandon Coleman.
The big receiver is now an unrestricted free agent and an intriguing option at the start of the new league year. A return to New Orleans is certainly a possibility, but we’ll see what kind of interest Coleman gets as a free agent.

Mike Gillislee (knee) is officially questionable for Sunday.
He was a limited participant in practice all week. Teammate Rex Burkhead (knee) was also limited in practice all week and is listed as questionable; and if Gillislee is ready to go, it might come down to whether Burkhead is ready, as Gillislee hasn’t suited up as a fifth running back for the last several weeks (remember, running back Brandon Bolden plays on special teams). We’ll update you on Gillislee’s official game status for the AFC Championship on Sunday.

The 49ers have officially signed running back Jerick McKinnon.
The deal was revealed in the media earlier today, but the team just officially announced the signing after the start of the new league year. McKinnon’s four-year deal makes him a top-five paid running back in the league on a per-year basis, so Kyle Shanahan and the Niners clearly have plans for him. Right now, McKinnon is looking like a very good fantasy option in 2018, but we’ll have to see if they add anyone else in the draft or if someone else currently in the backfield (perhaps Joe Williams or Matt Breida) can carve out a role in a committee.

Rex Burkhead (knee) is listed as questionable for the AFC Championship.
Burkhead was reportedly set to return this Sunday against the Jaguars with a Super Bowl trip on the line, but he was only limited in practice all week, indicating it’s no lock he’ll return after missing the last three games. Dion Lewis and James White are obviously capable of carrying the load for New England, but they could use another versatile back in the mix on offense and as a contributor on special teams. Burkhead’s game status will be known by around 1:30 PM ET on Sunday.

John Brown has officially agreed to terms with the Ravens.
This was expected after it was reported that Brown was signing with Baltimore yesterday, but anything could have happened before the new league year officially began. Health has always been the knock on “Smokey”, but this is an exciting fit as the number-one target in an offense that has a cannon-armed quarterback. Brown should have a ton of upside at the end of fantasy drafts this summer, especially if Baltimore doesn’t spend a high draft pick on a receiver.
