Join now >Matt Ryan, Falcons take care of Rams to start another potential postseason run.
Ryan was 21/30 for 218 yards, one touchdown, and zero interceptions. The score was a beautiful lob pass under duress to Julio Jones from eight yards out to give Atlanta a 26-13 lead that they never relinquished. They will now head to Philadelphia next Saturday to take on the top-seeded Philadelphia Eagles, and the Falcons have to feel pretty good about their chances relative to their respective seedings. A win for Ryan would get his team to the NFC Championship game for the second season in a row.

DeMarco Murray (knee) did not practice today.
Murray will still have tomorrow and Thursday to get in a practice session before Saturday’s playoff matchup with the Patriots, but it doesn’t look good right now. Derrick Henry will carry the load either way for Tennessee, but consider Murray on the doubtful side of things for now.

Charcandrick West catches two passes in Wild Card loss.
West gained one yard on his two receptions, including one that went for a first down on a pass to the flat. Expect West to be back next season as someone that chips in behind Kareem Hunt in Kansas City’s backfield.

Antonio Brown (calf) says he’ll play in the Divisional Round.
This basically just confirms what has been clear: The Steelers will have their All-Pro receiver in time for their first playoff game. AB told reporters he’s not sure if he’ll be his usual self, but he hasn’t tested the calf fully yet and it sounds like he’ll continue hitting rehab hard to get where he needs to be. The good news is Pittsburgh doesn’t play until Sunday, giving Brown at least an extra 12+ hours compared to if he had to play on Saturday. Even at potentially less than 100% and against an elite secondary, Brown is a great WR1 option for fantasy purposes.

Demetrius Harris catches two passes in Chiefs’ playoff loss.
Travis Kelce unfortunately went down with a concussion at the end of the first half, so Harris had to step into a bigger role than usual for Kansas City. Harris gained 22 yards on his two receptions, coming up clutch late in the game with his team attempting to drive for a go-ahead score, but his season is now over. The big tight end should be back next season as a key backup behind Kelce on offense.

Sammy Watkins says it “would be a pleasure” to return to the Rams.
After arriving to the team in August via a trade from Buffalo, Watkins clearly didn’t have the numbers that are expected from him despite remaining healthy and playing in all 16 games. However, he’s a team-first guy that appears to be genuinely happy and OK with not being among the league leaders in receiving if it means helping the team win. According to the Los Angeles Daily News, Watkins said, “You see this team building something with the coaching staff and the players,” while adding it would be a “pleasure” to come back but noted it’s a business. Watkins said he wants to talk to Rams head coach Sean McVay about his future, and it sounds like he’ll want to come back if McVay and the team want him back. The Daily News thinks Watkins is a candidate for the franchise tag, which would keep him with the team for 2018. If Watkins hits the open market in free agency, the former fourth pick in the draft would be a coveted player.

Albert Wilson, Chiefs upset at home to the Titans in playoff opener.
Wilson caught two passes for 26 yards in the 22-21 loss. The 25-year-old had a chance to make a catch deep down the seam on a 4th-and-9, but it went off his hands before taking a big hit, and the Chiefs were never able to get the ball back as Derrick Henry ended things. If he’s back in Kansas City next season, Wilson won’t be a fantasy option to start 2018.
